Inspiration of Karelia:The tour is a reboot

07:00-10:00 Breakfast in the hotel restaurant. 

10:00 Departure to the Karjala Park tourist complex (30 km). An unusual atmosphere awaits you here — mysterious, natural and attractive. 

10:30-12:00 One of the best husky kennels in Karelia is located in Karjala Park. You will hear an interesting story from a cabin instructor about each inhabitant of the kennel, learn the history of the breed, the features of breeding and maintenance. 

And then you will go trekking (walking) with a husky through the most beautiful pine forest along the Shuya River (3 km). The enthusiasm and energy of the dogs will charge you with a positive attitude for the rest of the day.

Attention: due to weather conditions, a replacement for dog sledding, snowmobiling or quad biking may be offered.

12:30-13:30 Master class on cooking wickets under the guidance of the chef. Surely you have already heard about one of the business cards of Karelia — gates. Today we will try to cook them with our own hands. 

You will learn how to prepare the dough, filling and properly "pinch" the gates. And upon returning home, you will be able to surprise your friends and family with a recipe and skills brought from Karelia. 

13:30-14:30 Lunch at the ethnic plague with a tea party. 

14:30-15:30 Transfer to the village of Kinerma — a real open-air museum of wooden architecture. 

15:30-17:00 Kinerma joined the Association of the most beautiful villages in Russia. There are only 17 residential buildings, some of which were built in the XVI century. People still live in these houses, maintaining and protecting the historical appearance!

You will explore the architectural monuments, well—kept courtyards, immerse yourself in rural life, walk through the beautiful village around the ancient chapel. After the walk, you will have a tea party in a cozy authentic Karelian hut. 

19:00 Return to Petrozavodsk. Transfer to the hotel.

07:00-08:00 Breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Room release. We leave our belongings in the hotel's luggage room. 

08:00 Our program for today includes an introduction to the history of the smallest indigenous people of Karelia. The Veps are the owners of a truly impressive, special culture.

For a close acquaintance with an interesting mixture of paganism and Christianity, we will go to the Sheltozer Veps Ethnographic Museum. It is located in a house built two centuries ago, and is a living monument of wooden architecture. 

To fully immerse yourself in the history of a unique people and an authentic atmosphere, after the tour, the Veps folk choir will perform for you.

13:30-14:30 Lunch at the cafe. 

14:30-16:00 Our final stop is the Crimson Quartzite quarry, the only deposit of a unique stone. 

It is from here that the stone was taken to create details of such famous St. Petersburg landmarks as St. Isaac's Cathedral and the monument to Nicholas I. The letters "Lenin" on the mausoleum, the alley of hero cities near the Kremlin wall and even the sarcophagus of Napoleon were made from this rare stone. 

By 18:00 Return to Petrozavodsk to the railway station. The end of the program.
