A boat trip along the Ladoga skerries with a landing on the island of Honkasalo. 

Ladoga Skerries is a national park located on the northern and northwestern shores of Lake Ladoga in Karelia. 

There are about 650 rocky islands and steep cliffs, as well as the rugged coast of the lake itself for 250 km.  

Duration: 2 hours. 

In case of a storm on Lake Ladoga, the tour of the Ladoga skerries may be canceled.

Lunch at the cafe. 

Transfer to the Bastion Historical Park. 

The Viking Age fortress "Svarbjarnarborg". In the “Fortress of the Black Bear” there is a real life of the early Middle Ages. The guides are characters-residents of the Fortress, each with their own story, whose task is to show the life of the era. 

Entering the gates of the Fortress, you find yourself in a real settlement, in which all the inhabitants are busy with their business.  to the resident of the Fortress, you can come up and talk to him about his business and craft! 

The military unit "Four Fronts". Here you will get acquainted with the main events of the Soviet-Finnish armed conflicts of the twentieth century, which took place on the territory of Karelia. 

The museum presents collections of uniforms and weapons of the two opposing armies. You will be able to try on any military ammunition and hold real weapons in your hands. 

Eco-playground "Stone Age". This site is an open location where the story will be told not by the guides, but by the environment. 

A textured rock will be presented to your attention, which contains rock carvings (petroglyphs) from all over Fennoscandia — territories from modern Denmark to Russia. 

All the images were recreated with great attention to the primary sources, scientific staff worked on the location as consultants. 

Transfer to the hotel.

Room release. 

Transfer to the Ruskeala Mountain Park. 

A transfer to the railway station will be arranged for those who wish to go to the Ruskeala Mountain Park on the Ruskeala Express retro train. 

Train tickets are purchased independently. Flight No. 925A at 10:05 a.m. 

Tour of the Ruskeala Marble Canyon. 

During this tour you will get acquainted with the unique natural landscapes. For more than 70 years (until the middle of the nineteenth century), decorative light gray marble was broken out in local quarries to decorate the temples and palaces of St. Petersburg, the fountains of Petrodvorets, the columns of Tsarskoye Selo and Gatchina.  

Free time. 

The possibility of an independent lunch on the territory of the mountain park.

You can use additional services of the mountain park: rowing boat rental, troll riding, visiting the Underground Ruskeala excursion, visiting the City of Angels exposition, visiting the mining history exposition. 

Departure from the mountain park. 

On the way, stop at the Tohmajoki Waterfall. 

This is a very picturesque place: the waterfall flows into a small lake, closed from all sides by high banks, from different shores of which there are various views of the waterfall. 

Transfer to Sortavala. 

Transfer to the railway station by 18:00.
