Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Meeting in Petrozavodsk, exit to the route

    Meeting at the railway station of Petrozavodsk.

    Arrival options for participants from Moscow are at 07:50 (train No. 018).

    Arrival options for participants from St. Petersburg: at 05:20 (bus from Petrozavodsk).

    For those who wish to arrive by private car, there is a paid parking lot in the village of "Uuksu" (the end point of the route). Transfer by taxi to the starting point.

    Transfer to the beginning of the route: the bridge over the river Uksa (160 km).

    Preparation of equipment for rafting. Safety briefing.

    Lunch in the field.

    Rafting on the Uksa River (11 km): port. Pavement (2-3 square meters) – por. Stairs (2 sq.m.) – por. Kolokoski (1 k.s.) – por. Saucer (3 pcs.).

    Dinner and overnight in the field.

  • Day 2 - Rafting on the Uksa River
  • Day 3 - Rafting on the river to the village of Uuksu. Completion of the tour

It's important to know

Personal equipment you need for the tour
  • a backpack (not an easel) or a travel bag;
  • neoprene jumpsuit, neoprene socks or special alloy shoes (or raincoat, jacket-pants);
  • a mug, a spoon, a bowl;
  • tick spray (spring alloys);
  • documents: passport + photocopy of the first pages for possible border control (Tumcha, Kitenjoki, Tohmajoki rivers), medical insurance policy.

Comfortable hiking clothes:

  • trousers and a light hooded jacket (anorak);
  • long sleeve shirt;
  • wool socks 2 pairs;
  • simple socks 2-3 pairs;
  • bathing suit;
  • t-shirts;
  • cotton gloves;
  • headdress with a visor;
  • a warm jacket;
  • woolen hat;
  • sweater;
  • rain cape;
  • change of underwear.

Shoes:

  • hiking boots or sneakers;
  • replacement shoes.

Personal items: 

  • sunglasses;
  • knife;
  • flashlight with a set of spare batteries;
  • sunscreen and after sunburn;
  • small polyurethane seat mat;
  • personal hygiene products (toilet paper, wet wipes, etc.);
  • individual first aid kit.
