Itinerary

Day 1 - Quad biking through the taiga forests
The journey starts in Sortavala, where you need to get to on your own on the first day of the program.
We recommend purchasing tickets for train No. 160B upon arrival in Sortavala at 08:22.
After meeting at the station in Sortavala, you will have breakfast in a cozy cafe and go to the starting point of the quad route. You will be provided with a dirt-proof suit, familiarized with safety techniques, and you will go on a trip on ATVs.
The 3-4-hour route will take you through abandoned Finnish villages, past ancient watermills, and through protected Karelian forests. The culmination of the route will be a visit to the beautiful lake Vakhvajarvi and the abandoned marble quarry (double occupancy on an ATV, category B license is required for drivers).
A snack will be arranged on the way.
After the end of the route, you will hand over your equipment and go to the pier, from where you will be transferred by aero or motor boats to the island located in the very center of the Ladoga skerries.
Here you will find accommodation in a glamping, a welcome dinner with dishes of Karelian cuisine.
You will spend the night in cozy hemispherical domes surrounded by a pine forest.

Day 2 - Havus Island route and picnic in the forest
After breakfast in glamping, you will find a walking route (about 3 km) accompanied by a guide deep into the island of Havus.
You will take a nature trail through the Karelian taiga.
You will see geological rocks that can be called the "ridge of the earth": a glacier passing through the territory of Ladoga exposed very ancient stone outcrops, whose age reaches 2.5 billion years.
You will learn a lot of interesting facts about these places: about Finnish families and the history of the Northern Ladoga region, about the peculiarities of forest species, about the animals that live here, etc.
The culmination of the route will be an exit to the Haukkariutta rock ("falcon reef"). From a height of more than 40 meters you will have a wonderful view of the Ladoga skerries.
After the walk, you will have a picnic lunch in the forest at an equipped place. You will taste freshly baked trout and the famous Karelian gate pies.
After the picnic, you will finish the hiking route and return to glamping, where you will relax and have dinner.
Today you will have a Karelian evening: you will be told about the traditions and customs of Karelia, you will try your hand at solving Karelian riddles or take a quiz on the history of these places.
If desired, you can also relax in the furako bath or the Russian bath (for an additional fee, ordered in advance).

Day 3 - A walk along the Ladoga skerries
After breakfast in glamping, you will go on a circular route by aero or motor boats to the Ladoga skerries.
You will see the most picturesque places of the surrounding islands. The capes of the island of Honkasalo, which are called "Ladoga fjords", reef mountain Aino, Chapaev Straits and much more. The route provides landings and ascents to observation decks, which offer spectacular views of the panorama of the skerry district and open Ladoga.
After returning to glamping, you will have a delicious lunch and rest.
For an additional fee, you can order a unique service: floating in the Bay of Ladoga skerries! Unforgettable sensations and unique photos are waiting for you (to be ordered in advance, a group of at least 4 people).
If the weather is good, you will spend the evening around a large communal bonfire organized for you. You can share your impressions, roast marshmallows, drink strong tea with Karelian herbs, play games or sing songs to the guitar.

Day 4 - Farewell to Ladoga and an excursion to the Ruskeala Mountain Park
After breakfast, you will have time to choose what to do.
You can:
take a walk to the neighboring bay and try to surprise curious seals, watch a movie about Ladoga;
explore the rocks (including a garnet vein passing nearby);
just get a good night's sleep in nature, but in comfortable conditions on cozy beds.
After completing the selected classes, you will need to pack your things.
Next, you will have a farewell lunch at glamping and departure to the Ruskeala Mountain Park. A guided ground tour and free time for walking around the territory will be organized for you.
Ruskeala marble quarry is a monument of cultural heritage of Russia. Development began here in 1765. The walls of the famous St. Isaac's Cathedral, Ladozhskaya and Primorskaya metro stations in St. Petersburg are decorated with Ruskeal marble.
The quarry is a huge system of underground tunnels and tunnels connected by vertical shafts. Most of them were flooded after the Great Patriotic War, and the quarry turned into an amazingly beautiful lake with a turquoise shade of water, the transparency of which reaches 15-18 meters.
After the tour of the mountain park, you will go to Sortavala on the unique Ruskeala Express. This is a retro steam-powered tourist train running along the route of the overland road that delivered Ruskeala marble to Lake Ladoga.
The interior of the train is decorated in the style of the interior of the carriage on which Auguste Montferrand, the chief architect of St. Isaac's Cathedral in St. Petersburg, came to Ruskeala.
After arriving at the station, you will have about an hour of free time before the evening train to Moscow.
Return tickets must be purchased for train No. 160A departing from Sortavala at 20:37 on the final day of the tour.

The tour provides accommodation in the dome glamping, an autonomous forest hotel with a high level of comfort right on the shore of Lake Ladoga. It is located on Havus Island, surrounded by a picturesque pine forest and Ladoga skerries.

The cost when buying before 11/30/2024 is 69,900 rubles/person.

The surcharge for single accommodation in a tent is 20,000 rubles.

Children under 12 years of age, as well as the third person in the tent, receive a 10% discount when placed in an additional sleeping place upstairs. Discounts are not cumulative.

Throughout the tour, you will stay in cozy hemisphere tents surrounded by a pine forest.

Each dome can accommodate from one to three people.

Three meals a day are included in the price of the tour.

The panoramic dome is a restaurant where breakfast and dinner will be served for you every day. Inside the tent there is a dining and tea area (hot and cold water, tea, coffee, sweets are always freely available), as well as a relaxation area with a fireplace and board games;
A small lounge area is a place where you can play board games, watch a movie or just sit with a book while drinking tea with sweets;
13 cozy geo-domes, with a capacity of 1-3 adults or 1-4 people with children. Each of them has transformer beds — two comfortable lower beds (800x2000) or a double bed (1400x2000) and an extra bed upstairs with bed linen and towels, bedside tables, a coffee table with armchairs, a wardrobe, as well as sockets, a washbasin with room temperature water and a toilet;
showers in a separate building, with heating, hot water, hairdryer, shampoo and shower gel;
Furako bathhouse on the shore of Lake Ladoga — heated outdoor wooden font;
