Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival. Quad route and rafting on the Yanisjoki River
The journey starts in Sortavala, where you need to get to on your own on the first day of the program.
We recommend purchasing tickets for train No. 160B upon arrival in Sortavala at 08:25.
After meeting at the train station, you will have breakfast in a cafe and then go to the starting point of the quad route.
You will receive a safety briefing and change into dirt-resistant overalls.
After that, you will have an exciting quad route through the Karelian taiga (double occupancy on an ATV, category B license is required for drivers).
The route will pass through picturesque forest trails along picturesque lakes with a stop near the old foundation — once the school of Finnish scouts.
After completing the quad tour, you will go to the starting point of rafting on the Yanisjoki River.
Before the start, you will have a picnic lunch in nature, equipment selection and briefing.
An eventful rafting experience awaits you along the rapids and calm river sections.
During the water route, you will overcome several thresholds of difficulty categories 2 and 3, see Finnish hydroelectric power plants and picturesque canyons.
After a busy day, you will reach the parking lot on the shore of Lake Ladoga, from where you will be transferred by motorboat to the island, located in the very center of the Ladoga skerries.
You will stay in the geo-domes and dine on Karelian cuisine.
You will spend the night in cozy hemispherical tents surrounded by a pine forest.

Day 2 - SUP-board route and trail through the Karelian taiga
After breakfast, you will receive a briefing on SUP-board management skills and set off on a route to Tikhaya Bay.
This is the most enjoyable place for beginner SUP boarders to really get on the board and feel confident.
You will walk along the bay, admire the unique landscapes of Ladoga once again, and if you are lucky, you will meet curious seals.
By mid-afternoon, you will return to glamping and have lunch, after which you will set off, accompanied by a guide, on a route along a forest nature trail.
You will see geological rocks that can be called the "backbone of the earth": a glacier passing through the territory of Ladoga exposed very ancient stone outcrops, which are up to 2.5 billion years old.
You will also see giant fir trees, picturesque marshes covered with mosses, and the foundations of old Finnish farms.
The culmination of the route will be the exit to the Haukkariutta rock (fin. "falcon reef").
From a height of more than 60 meters you will have a wonderful view of the Ladoga skerries.
After returning from the route, you will be able to play a quiz on a Karelian theme, board games, or sing guitar songs around a large campfire on the glamping grounds.
If you wish, you can also visit the furako bathhouse right on the shore of Ladoga or the Russian bathhouse (for an additional fee).

Day 3 - Ladoga skerries on motor boats. Departure
After breakfast at glamping, you will embark on a motorboat circuit along the Ladoga skerries.
Ladoga Skerries is a picturesque archipelago in the north of Lake Ladoga, consisting of many small rocky islands separated by straits.
One of the striking features of the Ladoga skerries is the so—called "reef mountains".
Reef mountains are called mountains that break off into the lake with sheer cliffs, the height of which can reach 80 meters.
You will climb to the observation points of the Ladoga Skerries with panoramic views.
They offer magnificent views of the vast expanses of Ladoga and the Valaam Archipelago (in good weather).
On the route, you will have a hot lunch in nature.
During the boat trip, you will also see the capes of the island of Honkasalo, the picturesque narrow straits of the Ladoga Skerries and several lighthouses.
In the evening, you will be transferred to Sortavala for the evening train.

You will stay in domed glamping, an autonomous forest hotel with a high level of comfort right on the shores of Lake Ladoga. Glamping is located on Havus Island, surrounded by a picturesque pine forest and Ladoga skerries.

The panoramic dome is a restaurant where breakfast and dinner will be served for you every day. There is a dining and tea area inside the tent (hot and cold water, tea, coffee, sweets are always freely available), as well as a relaxation area with a fireplace and board games.
A small lounge area is a place where you can play board games, watch a movie, or just sit with a book while sipping tea with sweets.
13 cozy geo-domes with a capacity of 1-3 adults or 1-4 people with children. Each of them has transformer beds — two comfortable lower beds (800x2000) or a double bed (1400x2000) and an extra bed upstairs with bed linen and towels, bedside tables, a coffee table with armchairs, a wardrobe, as well as sockets, a washbasin with room temperature water and a toilet.
The showers are in a separate building, with heating, hot water, hairdryer, shampoo and shower gel.
A Furako bathhouse on the shore of Lake Ladoga is a heated outdoor wooden font.
