Petrozavodsk is a port of the five seas, located on the shore of Lake Onega. The city has a real national Karelo-Finnish flavor, which attracts visitors from all over the world. 

The history of Petrozavodsk, the same age as St. Petersburg, began in September 1703, when the construction of a state-owned arms factory was started on the shore of Lake Onega by decree of Peter the Great. And thanks to the decree of Catherine II in 1777, it acquired the status of a city.

You will get acquainted with the history and modern appearance of the capital of the Prionezhye region, walk along the embankment, which is the hallmark of the city. This is a real open—air gallery of modern art, where amazing sculptures are located - gifts from the twin cities.

Transfer by the motor ship "Comet" on Lake Onega to Kizhi Island (travel time on Lake Onega ~ 1 hour 20 minutes, stay on the island 4 hours, in September — 3 hours). You can take some of the dry rations with you, which goes with breakfast.

Kizhi Island tour. Kizhi Island and the Kizhi Museum-Reserve located on it are the pearl of Zaonezhye. 

It is one of the largest open-air museums in Russia and a unique historical, cultural and natural complex, which is a particularly valuable object of cultural heritage of the peoples of Russia. 

The basis of the museum collection, the Kizhi Pogost Ensemble, is included in the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List. 

During the tour you will visit a traditional peasant's house, learn a lot about Karelian crafts, listen to the bells and see one of the main Orthodox shrines of the Russian North — the Church of the Resurrection of Lazarus.

There is one food point on Kizhi Island, which can be visited after the end of the main guided tour of the island and before the departure of the Comet back to Petrozavodsk.

We invite you to take a tour of the beautiful Ladoga skerries — an analogue of the Norwegian fjords.

Take a speedboat ride from the Sortavala Center pier to the rocky islands with a unique ecosystem, stroll through the rocky islands and relict coniferous forest.

During the trip, the captain will tell you about the Ladoga skerries, about who and when inhabited these deserted islands today, and what legends are associated with the domestic fjords.

A water excursion awaits you:

• stunning views of Lake Ladoga;
• passage through the ridge of rocky islands — Ladoga skerries;
• a walk along the rock of one of the islands;

The duration of the tour is about 1.5–2 hours.

Ruskeala Mountain Park is the most famous attraction in Karelia. 

Here they began to break out the magic marble "the colors of white nights" back in 1769 by decree of Catherine II. It was used to decorate the majestic temples and palaces of St. Petersburg: the Marble Palace, St. Isaac's Cathedral, the Mariinsky Palace. 

Today, Ruskeala Park and its landscape are amazing man—made canyons and crystal lakes, labyrinths of underground tunnels and picturesque steep marble cliffs. 

Nature and people have been interacting here for three centuries. The great works of generations of mountain craftsmen have given this place a special aura.

A tour of the Marble Canyon program — you will learn how marble was mined in these magical places, and get acquainted with the history of mining and processing of the northern stone.

An exciting bus and pedestrian sightseeing tour of Vyborg awaits you - the only city in Russia where you can feel the atmosphere of medieval Europe and appreciate the necklace thread of squares — Market, Cathedral, Petrovskaya, and of course Torgilskaya, where there is a monument to the founder of the city, Thorgils Knutsson. 

You will see the Town Hall Square, the House of the Merchant Guild of the Holy Spirit, the Townsman's House, the Clock Tower, the Burgher's Manor and the House on the Cliff.

And you will definitely have the opportunity for an external inspection of the Vyborg Castle on the Castle Island.
