Day 1 - Departure from Moscow

A visit to the concert program at the Kantele House.

Live music, a medley of ageless favorite New Year's songs, incendiary dances, elegant and cheerful artists – all this awaits you at the New Year's concert program.

Spend time in the "Kantele House" not only with pleasure, but also with benefit. The concert will be a valuable educational experience, because Kantele always strives to introduce its guests to the traditional culture of Karelia (the duration of the program is about 1 hour).

The next point of the trip will be a visit to the National Museum of the Republic of Karelia under the program "New Year's Trip to the Governor's House", during which you will make an exciting journey through time — go to medieval Karelia and learn how the Yule holiday was celebrated.

You will visit a Karelian hut at the end of the XIX century and get acquainted with ancient Christmas rituals, you will be offered to guess riddles and tell fortunes on runes for the coming year.

Everyone will be able to make a simple Christmas decoration and make a wish. The journey will end in the Hall of the Noble Assembly with everyone's favorite custom – plucking a fir tree (the duration of the program is about 1 hour).

Sightseeing bus tour of Petrozavodsk, a city where northern severity is ideally combined with Scandinavian balanced charisma.

You will get acquainted with the history and modern appearance of the capital of the Prionezhye region, walk along the embankment, which is the hallmark of the city. This is a real open-air gallery of modern art, where amazing sculptures are located (duration about 1.5 hours).

Transfer to the Patrimony of the Talviukko — Karelian Santa Claus.

A tour of the Talviukko Patrimony according to the program "Visit to the Talviukko Residence" and a meeting with Karelian Santa Claus.

In the Patrimony program at the Karelian Calendar exhibition, you will see how all seasons live under one roof, try to control the weather and get acquainted with the "physics of goodness".

Ruskeala Mountain Park is the most famous attraction in Karelia. Here they began to break out the magic marble "the colors of white nights" back in 1769 by decree of Catherine II. It was used to decorate the majestic temples and palaces of St. Petersburg: the Marble Palace, St. Isaac's Cathedral, the Mariinsky Palace.
Today, Ruskeala Park and its landscape are amazing man—made canyons and crystal lakes, labyrinths of underground tunnels and picturesque steep marble cliffs.
Nature and people have been interacting here for three centuries. The great works of generations of mountain craftsmen have given this place a special aura.
A tour of the Marble Canyon program — you will learn how marble was mined in these magical places, and get acquainted with the history of mining and processing of the northern stone.

An exciting bus and pedestrian sightseeing tour of Vyborg awaits you - the only city in Russia where you can feel the atmosphere of medieval Europe and appreciate the necklace thread of squares — Market, Cathedral, Petrovskaya, and of course, Torgilskaya, where there is a monument to the founder of the city, Thorgils Knutsson.
You will see the Town Hall Square, the House of the Merchant Guild of the Holy Spirit, the Townsman's House, the Clock Tower, the Burgher's Manor and the House on the Rock.
And you will definitely have the opportunity for an external inspection of the Vyborg Castle on the Castle Island.

The tour provides for travel in wagons of the selected category along the route. Accommodation takes place only in mixed compartments, there is no division into male and female.

At the disposal of passengers are modern carriages, released in 2021. The carriages are double-decker, with one shower and three toilets with sinks for each carriage.
