We recommend taking tickets for trains arriving before 08:00.
08:00 Meeting at Petrozavodsk railway station.
09:00 Departure for the program. Our path lies where time slows down.
Kindasovo is the capital of Karelian humor. Karelian Livviks will greet you in such a way that you will forget about all the city worries. We laugh at local tales, try our luck in Sami totem labyrinths, and learn to play shepherd's horns and kantel.
Kinerma is a fairy tale come to life. The village is a monument of folk wooden architecture, where there are only 17 houses, and all of them are located in a circle. We will visit the chapel of the Smolensk Mother of God (it is more than 300 years old!), and the 15th-generation native hostess will tell about the life of peasants and the Finnish war.
Rubchoila is Shamozersk hospitality.
The main event of the day: we are invited to a huge hut of the XVIII century for a traditional Karelian lunch. Hot wickets, national dishes and heartfelt conversations.
The lunch will be accompanied by a performance by a folklore ensemble — Karelian songs penetrate into the very heart. After that, a walk through the original village and a visit to the chapel of John the Baptist in the sacred grove.
18:00 Return to Petrozavodsk. Check-in at the hotel.
Free evening. Take a walk along the Onega embankment — there are amazing sunsets here!
