Arrival in Petrozavodsk by morning trains (until 10:00), gathering of the group at the main entrance to the railway station, a landmark guide with a sign.

    Breakfast in the restaurant.

Sightseeing tour of Petrozavodsk with a walk along the Onega Embankment, an open–air museum where the alley of modern art is located.

You will see beautiful monuments, unusual art objects and avant-garde sculptures presented to Petrozavodsk by the twin cities.

    Transfer to the passenger port.

A trip by meteor to Kizhi Island. You will cover about 70 km on the water surface of the great Onega Lake.

You will be amazed by the blue and boundless expanses of It, and you will understand why in Karelian folklore it is often called the sea and even the ocean.

Meeting with the museum guide on the island, the beginning of the tour of the main exhibition "Masterpieces of Kizhi Island". 68 monuments of traditional wooden architecture are gathered here in the open air.

You will see the foundation of the museum collection — the ensemble of the Kizhi Pogost, which is included in the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List.

The pearl of the collection is rightfully considered to be the 22nd Transfiguration Church (1714), 37 meters high!

You will have the opportunity to visit the equally picturesque winter church of the Intercession of the Virgin Mary and see the masterpieces of ancient Russian art.

After the tour, be sure to take a picture between the mill and the Church of the Resurrection of Lazarus, it is from there that you can see the ensemble in which both churches merge together!

In your free time, you can have lunch at the restaurant on the island, drink tea with a gate, buy souvenirs and stroll around the island, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere.

Transfer back to the Meteor in Petrozavodsk.

Everything was perfectly organized. The weather let us down on the last day, but it didn’t stop us from going on the excursion to Mount Sekirnaya. A special thanks for the Nemetski Kuzov island — its beauty is truly breathtaking.
