The majestic waters of Kivach are not afraid of any frosts, it will surprise you with its luxury even in winter. And what a pleasure and a unique opportunity to see all the beauty of winter Kizhi! Travel to the island on the hard ice of Lake Onega on a hovercraft, as if on an adventure!

The Ruskeala Mountain Park looks completely different in winter. The frozen marble lake and snow-covered marble ruins give the park the image of a real winter fairy tale!

Itinerary

Day 1 - Marcial Waters. Kivach Nature Reserve
07:50 Arrival at Petrozavodsk railway station by train No. 018.
Meeting with the guide at the main entrance to the station, from the platform.
Buffet breakfast in the restaurant.
Boarding a bus and going on a guided tour.
Visit to the first Russian resort of Marcial Waters, founded by Peter the Great, with a tasting of water from 4 springs, a tour of the Church of the Apostle Peter.
Departure for a country trip to the Kivach Nature Reserve with a visit to Europe's largest plain waterfall. Inspection of the Karelian birch arboretum.
Lunch at a cafe.
For an additional fee, we invite you to visit the Husky kennel to participate in the Breath of the North program. It is booked upon purchase of the tour, paid to the guide upon arrival on the tour.
The program includes:
meeting of guests on the territory of the nursery;
instruction on the rules of conduct;
acquaintance with the main inhabitants of the kennel – Siberian and Alaskan huskies;
Guided reindeer tour with hand-fed yagel;
instruction on the basics of dog sled management;
riding on a prepared track accompanied by an instructor, 2 people on one sled;
tea party in a barbecue gazebo by a live fire
Return to Petrozavodsk.

Day 2 - Ruskeala Mountain Park
Buffet breakfast in the hotel restaurant.
Meeting with the guide in the hotel lobby.
Departure by bus to the Northern Ladoga region (260 km).
You will find a scenic road along the Karelian forests, lakes and the bay of Lake Ladoga.
On the way to Ruskeala Mountain Park, stop at Tohmajoki Waterfall.
The waterfall is 3-4 meters high. This is a very picturesque place, the waterfall flows into a small lake closed from all sides by high shores, from different shores of which there are different views of the waterfall. It was here that the original film "And the dawns here are quiet" was shot.
Arrival at Ruskeala Mountain Park.

Ruskeala Marble Breaks is an amazing beauty route that introduces you to the unique natural and man-made landscapes of Ruskeala near the town of Sortavala.
From the 18th to the 20th centuries, decorative light gray marbles were broken out here in numerous quarries to decorate St. Isaac's Cathedral, Kazan Cathedral, Marble Palace, Mikhailovsky Castle in St. Petersburg, Pyramid fountain in Peterhof, Chesmenskaya, Moreisk columns and Oryol Gates in Tsarskoye Selo, Eagle Pavilion in Gatchina, Savings Bank in Helsinki and other wonderful works of architecture.
The sheer shores of the marble lakes with clear water in a beautiful Ruskeal marble bowl with equipped observation decks and deep tunnels leave an indelible impression.
Free time in the mountain park.
The opportunity to have lunch at the park cafe on your own, buy souvenirs, and use additional park services.
Departure to Petrozavodsk.

Day 3 - Kizhi Island Tour
Buffet breakfast in the hotel restaurant.
Room release. Things are checked into the hotel's luggage room.
Meeting with the guide in the hotel lobby.
Transfer to Petrozavodsk embankment.
Landing on the SVP (hovercraft), departure along the frozen Onega Lake to Kizhi Island.
You will take an amazing journey through the icy, snow-covered desert.
The road to the island will leave you with a lot of impressions. The journey time is 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Arrival on the island.
In front of us, against the background of the sky, which is getting closer, there are magnificent temples of Kizhi, which are beautiful at any time of the year.
Against the background of delicate patterns of woven tree branches, the doors of peasant houses are open, where guests get acquainted with the traditional way of life of large families in Zaonezh villages.
Return to Petrozavodsk from the island at approximately 18:00.
Transfer to Petrozavodsk railway station.
