Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Meeting, sightseeing tour of Kostroma

    10:20-10:45: We meet at the railway station of Kostroma (under the arrival of the Swallow from Moscow), after which we go to the city center.

    First, let's get acquainted with Kostroma on a sightseeing tour. We will see the Central Square: an ensemble of shopping malls (flour, fish, tobacco, etc.), public places, a fire tower, the main guardhouse, a monument to Ivan Susanin, an Ostrovsky gazebo and much more.

    After that, we will walk along Botnikovsky Boulevard to the monument to Yuri Dolgoruky, who is rightfully considered the founder of the city.

    Next, we will have an excursion to the museum of wooden architecture in the open air "Kostroma Sloboda". Russian Russian village of the XVII-XVIII centuries. During the tour, we will walk through the real Russian village of the XVII-XVIII centuries, go into the old huts, get acquainted with the way of life of Russian housewives of those times.

    We have lunch in a cafe in the city.

    After lunch, we will visit the Holy Trinity Ipatiev Monastery. It was in this place in Kostroma that Mikhail Romanov was called to reign, which put an end to the Time of Troubles. During the reign of the tsar, the Ipatievsky Monastery was the most privileged place in Kostroma, and not every resident could enter its territory.

    In the evening we will stay at the following hotels: Old Street, Shelestoff, Azimut Kostroma, Aristocrat, Business Hotel, Ekaterina Hotel, Volga, Premier (accommodation is at our discretion, but wishes are accepted). Berendeevka Park Hotel – with price correction, on request.
