Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Walk through the city center, Ipatievsky Monastery, Cheese Museum

The most optimal, easiest and fastest way to get to Kostroma is the new Lastochka comfort class train, which runs from Moscow (Yaroslavsky Railway Station) for 4 hours, arriving in the morning at 10:50 a.m. in Kostroma at Kostroma Novaya station.

Meeting of the guests of the city at the Kostroma Novaya station. Meeting of the tour participants and boarding a comfortable minibus.

The first stop is the Ipatievsky Monastery, the cradle of the Romanovs, a guided tour of the monastery.

Next, we'll take a look at the flax products store, which grew in a Russian field, passed dozens of cars and human hands, and retains the smell of summer heat and morning dew in August.

We will start our city tour from the monument to the founder of the city, Yuri Dolgoruky.

Next, we will go to admire the central square and take photos against the backdrop of the tower.

From kilometer zero, we will continue the city tour through the famous Shopping Malls, where you can buy souvenirs from Kostroma craftsmen, local Ivan Tea and Kostroma black salt.

We will also take a walk around Susaninsky Square, where we will meet its main character, Ivan Susanin. After that, we will have dinner at one of the restaurants in the city (Slavyansky).

Next, we will visit the Kostroma Kremlin and the Kostroma shrine - the icon of the Fedorovskaya Mother of God (at the request of the guests).

Through Ostrovsky's gazebo, we will go down Molochnaya Gora, take a walk along the city's embankment, because we cannot do without the great Volga River.

And then we will head to the Cheese Museum, where you will have a tasting of Kostroma cheeses.

After the tour, if desired, we will go to the opposite bank of the Volga River, where you will see the entire panorama of the city: from the Ipatievsky Monastery to the automobile bridge.

Here we will visit the "Sagittarius Museum" and taste tea with fish steaks.

At the end of the day, check into the Ya-Hotel or the Moskovskaya Zastava Hotel.
