Kayaking on Ladoga

• An experienced instructor with extensive travel experience, special training and a first aid certificate;
• a group first aid kit with a wide range of medicines and dressings;
• life jackets and rescue ends;
• stable cellular reception (Megafon) throughout the route;
• the time of emergency discharge from the route in good weather conditions is up to 2 hours.

• Citizens under the age of 14 are not allowed to participate in the tour. Citizens between the ages of 14 and 18 are allowed to participate only if accompanied by their parents;
• Drinking alcoholic beverages is prohibited on our tours. This is both a security measure and a measure of cultural recreation;
• people weighing more than 110 kg and with a hip volume of more than 125 cm are not allowed to participate in the tour. These limitations are due to the design parameters of the kayaks used;
• participants with a height above 190 cm may not feel comfortable in a kayak due to the length limitation of the boat.

The only equipment that we rent for an additional fee to the participants of our tours is a set consisting of:

• sleeping bag (comfort temperature +10°C or +5°C);
• a sleeping bag liner (in fact, a bed sheet for sleeping bags);
• polyurethane mat (what is laid in the tent under the sleeping bag).

The cost of renting a set:

• 600 rubles for tours from 2 to 4 days

The need to rent a sleeping bag must be indicated at the stage of booking the tour.
Despite the possibility of renting a sleeping bag, we put it on a par with personal hygiene items and strongly recommend that tour participants come to the route with a personal sleeping bag.

• By car:

From St. Petersburg, you need to go to the Novopriozerskoe highway and move towards the city of Priozersk (130 km), then continue along the road to the city of Sortavala to the village of Berezovo (22 km). A new highway leads from St. Petersburg to the village of Berezovo, and only the last 1 km through the village is a primer.

At the boat station, from where we start the hike, there is a guarded parking lot worth 200 rubles per day. The station administrator must pay for it in cash at the meeting. During the high season (July), there may not be parking spaces and it is permissible to leave the car in the forest not far from the shore.

We recommend using navigation programs with up-to-date map updates to get there quickly and on the correct route.

• By train:

Trains depart from Finlandsky Railway Station to Kuznechnoye Station. The travel time is about 3 hours and 20 minutes. 

There are always taxi cars near the station that will take tourists to the starting point for 400-600 rubles per car in one direction. 

Before the tour, 1.5 days before arrival, we create a WhatsApp chat where tourists can cooperate to call a taxi together and take it to the starting point of the tour. The landmark for taxis is Berezovo village, Ilax camp site.

An alternative option is to take the train from Finlandsky railway station to Priozersk station. 

Trains to Priozersk run more often than to Kuznechnoye, but a taxi from Priozersk to Berezovo will be more expensive — 600-1000 rubles per car in one direction.

Participants travel independently to the starting point of the tour by their own car or train from St. Petersburg. The start and finish time is calculated for the train from/to St. Petersburg from the Kuznechnoye platform.
