Day 1 - Monday. Walking tour "St. Petersburg was born here", Peter and Paul Fortress

The walking tour "Petersburg was born here" tells about the emergence of the city on the Neva River, about the first stage of its construction, about the role that St. Petersburg played in the development of the economy, politics and culture of Russia.
You will walk along the Petrogradskaya side, where the first streets appeared, the first house of Governor Menshikov, the Office building, the Magistrate, and the Trinity Cathedral were built. Domenico Trezzini, the first chief architect of St. Petersburg, supervised the work.
An excursion to the Peter and Paul Fortress with a visit to the Peter and Paul Cathedral and the Trubetskoy Bastion prison will introduce you to the 300-year–old history of the fortress, a former royal and then political prison, and at the same time the tomb of the Imperial house of Romanov in the Peter and Paul Cathedral, the tallest architectural structure in the city.
The tour ends at the Gorkovskaya metro station, no later than 18:00

Day 2 - Tuesday. Sightseeing tour of St. Petersburg "Portrait of a great city", visit to the Kunstkamera

You will see what made up the glory of St. Petersburg, which has become one of the six most beautiful cities in Europe.
Visit to the Kunstkamera. During the self-examination, you will get acquainted with a unique collection of antiquities that reveal the history and way of life of the peoples of the Old and New World, you will see part of the collection of anatomical rarities and anomalies of Peter the Great himself.

Day 3 - Wednesday. Peterhof
Breakfast in the hotel restaurant.
A country tour to Peterhof with a tour of the Grand Palace, a unique treasury of Russian and Western European art. You will see a suite of state rooms, the Chesmenskaya Pobeda hall, Peter's Oak Study
The first and, of course, a Large throne Room with a gilded imperial throne.
ATTENTION: the tour may end later in the city center, around 20:00.

Day 4 - Thursday. St. Isaac's Cathedral, New Holland Island
Breakfast in the hotel restaurant.
Walking tour "Two islands, three centuries". The epithet "the most" can be used in the description of all the objects of this tour, and it begins with an excursion to St. Isaac's Cathedral. The temple built by the arch. Built by Montferrand in 1858, it is an outstanding architectural monument. The former main cathedral of the Russian Empire, the largest cathedral in the city is able to accommodate about 14,000 people. It impresses with the richness of the interior, decorated with various grades of marble, malachite and lapis lazuli columns, paintings and mosaics.
The tour will continue with an acquaintance with the most recognizable monument of our city, the "Bronze Horseman", created for the 100th anniversary of the accession of Peter the Great to the throne.
The tour will end on the man-made island of New Holland. This is the youngest park in St. Petersburg, which is a unique cultural public space, with museums, restaurants, exhibitions, recreation areas, playgrounds, workshops and concerts, located on the territory of an architectural monument of the XVIII century.

Day 5 - Friday. Kronstadt
Breakfast at the hotel restaurant.
The excursion route includes an introduction to the complex of flood defenses, from where you can admire the panorama of the Gulf of Finland and see the famous Kronstadt forts.

Visit to the historical theater-layout "Petrovsky Aquatoria", depicting St. Petersburg of the beginning of the XVIII century. Here you can watch the movement of 130 ships made according to historical models, watch fist fights during Maslenitsa and dances of the nobility at imperial receptions in Peterhof. The uniqueness of the museum is that here you can see exact copies of the original buildings and monuments that have been lost or have changed their appearance.

The tour was well-organized, and the preloaded transit card included in the package was incredibly useful—such a great idea! However, unfortunately, in my case, there was no mention of it anywhere—not on the envelope with the vouchers, nor in the printed tour program. It also wasn’t brought up in my communication with the manager. As a result, we had to figure out on our own what the card was and how to use it. We only realized later that it already had money loaded onto it—when we happened to use it. Luckily, we traveled around the city a lot, so the balance on the card was put to good use. That being said, to be fair, I should note that other tour participants mentioned they did receive this information on their envelope and that their manager informed them about it when sending the tour details.
