The oldest royal residence near St. Petersburg, known worldwide as the "Kingdom of Fountains", was built over two centuries by the efforts of many outstanding Russian and European architects. 

During the tour of the Lower Park (until October 14) You will get acquainted with the history of the creation of this grandiose park complex, walk along the shady alleys, listen to the music of fountains. Be sure to make a wish and throw a coin for good luck into the firecracker fountain with ducks.

And even in winter, when the park stalls and flower beds are covered with snow, water cannons are inactive, and the sculpture of the Grand Cascade is carefully sheltered from frost, Peterhof offers guests to explore the palaces of the former royal residence, the main of which is the Grand Palace (after October 14). 

Almost completely destroyed during the Great Patriotic War, the palace was restored in the post-war decades, and today its interiors show visitors the Oak Staircase and the Oak Study of Peter with carved panels of the early 17th century, the suite of state rooms of architect Rastrelli, the Chinese offices of Vallen-Delamot, the Dining Room, Throne and Chesma halls of Felten.

The Museum of Railway Transport will be interesting for both children and adults – 57 thousand square meters, 28 thousand exhibits! 

The museum presents authentic life—size exhibits - antique steam locomotives of various types and real wagons of the last century. 

As part of the visit, your child will be able to try himself as a machinist in a special simulator (session at 12:00) and see a real steam locomotive in the section.

The territory of the aquarium is divided into seven climatic zones, representing the reservoirs of the North-West of Russia, the Amazon basin, the tidal zone, the coral reef zone and the main marine aquarium with a 35-meter transparent tunnel laid through it.

No wonder it is called a "time machine" that takes adults back to childhood, and allows children of any age to see the past. Get into the "Sea battle", leave the bits in the "Towns", hunt on the "Safari". 

You can play alone or in company. If you still have Soviet coins of 15 kopecks, take them with you. And if not, then do not worry, they are attached to the entrance ticket.
