A walk through the Small city Center, affecting Sobornaya and Sennaya Squares, Lenin Square (after the official opening of shopping malls on the territory of the square in the XIX century, the most famous now in Ryazan, at first only flour and grain were sold here, for this reason the square has the unspoken name "Khlebnaya"), the summer house of the Noble Assembly, Pochtovaya Streets and Astrakhan, at the intersection of which there is a monument to Yevpatiy Kolovrat. 

On the Theater Square there is a Drama Theater, a monument to K.E.Tsiolkovsky and the Nikolo-Yamskaya Temple. 

The monument to S.A.Yesenin is the main and largest of the monuments to the famous countryman located in Ryazan. 

The saying "We have mushrooms with eyes in Ryazan, they eat them, they look" (during the Tatar-Mongol invasion, it was mushrooms that were an indicator of where the Mongols raced on their steeds) is dedicated to the original sculptural composition "Mushrooms with eyes in Ryazan".

On the southwestern side of the Kremlin hill there is an ancient earthen rampart – a defensive structure of the XIII-XVII centuries. 

Until the end of the XVII – beginning of the XVIII century. wooden walls and towers of the Kremlin were located on the rampart. In front of the rampart was a defensive moat filled with water. 

The territory of the Cathedral Park is connected to the Kremlin by the Glebovsky Bridge, which successfully performed military and defensive functions in the XV century. 

During sieges, the bridge rose to the walls, thereby blocking the way of the attackers. 

In the western part of the Cathedral Park there is the Church of the Savior on Yar, which offers a wonderful view of the flood meadows. The elegant five-domed church is deservedly considered one of the best in Ryazan, and is also the oldest functioning temple in the city.

Moving to the village of Konstantinovo – the homeland of the great Russian poet "Ryazan Nightingale" – Sergei Yesenin.

The village of Konstantinovo, located on the steep bank of the Oka River, is famous for the fact that it was here that the famous Russian poet Sergei Alexandrovich Yesenin was born on October 3, 1895. 

His childhood and youth were spent in Konstantinovo. 

You can touch the history, the formation of Yesenin as a poet and personality, by visiting the estate of Yesenin's parents, the House of the priest I.Ya. Smirnov, the Zemstvo school. A visit to the parental estate will take you first to the end of the XIX century, the period of the founding of the peasant estate, then to the 20s of the last century, when Sergei Yesenin, being famous throughout Russia, came to his parents' house to rest his exhausted soul. 

Authentic things of that time are shown here: a chest in which the poet kept his favorite books, a real Russian stove, a samovar, a certificate of commendation from school, an oak table and a fashionable Gabu watch at that time.

Zemstvo school is an introduction to the history of the emergence of zemstvo schools in the Ryazan province at the turn of the XIX-XX centuries. You will learn interesting stories about the school life of Sergei Yesenin, teachers and classmates of the future poet. 

Priest John Yakovlevich Smirnov and his family were an integral part of village life at the turn of the XIX and XX centuries. The exposition of the priest's house introduces visitors to the rural intelligentsia and the hobbies of the youth of that time, as well as about the young years of Sergei Yesenin's life and his formation as a poet. 

In your free time, you can walk around the territory of the estate of the last Konstantinovskaya landowner Lidia Ivanovna Kashina, located near the parents' house (independently for an additional fee on site). 

Visiting L. Kashina S. Yesenin visited more than once, dedicated one of his poems to her – "Green Hairstyle".
