Day 1 - Departure from Moscow. Kolomna and Ryazan

Kolomna is one of the oldest cities in the Moscow region, Dmitry Donskoy's favorite city. Its main symbol is the Kolomna Kremlin, which has remained inaccessible to invaders since the 16th century.

fragments of the fortress wall and preserved towers, of which the most significant are Marinkina, Granovitaya and Pyatnitskaya passage;
Cathedral Square, whose architectural appearance consists of the Assumption Cathedral, built by decree of Dmitry Donskoy, the tent bell tower (17th century) is the most powerful belfry of this type in the Moscow region.;
Trinity Novo-Golutvin Monastery (XVII–XIX centuries);
The Resurrection Church (14th–19th centuries) is one of the most ancient buildings of the Kolomna Kremlin, where Prince Dmitry Donskoy and Evdokia of Suzdal were married in 1366.;
St. Nicholas Gostiny Church (1501) is one of the first brick churches in Russia.

City sightseeing tour with a visit to the territory of the Ryazan Kremlin:
a walk through the Small city center, affecting Sobornaya and Sennaya Squares, Lenin Square, the summer house of the Noble Assembly, Pochtovaya and Astrakhanskaya streets, at the intersection of which there is a monument to Yevpatiy Kolovrat. The Drama Theater, the monument to K.E. Tsiolkovsky and the Nikolo-Yamsky Temple are located on the Theater Square.;
The monument to S.A. Yesenin is the main and largest monument to the famous countryman located in Ryazan.;
The Church of the Savior on Yar, an elegant five-domed church, is deservedly considered one of the best in Ryazan, and is also the oldest functioning temple in the city.;

Day 2 - Gus-Khrustalny and Murom

Gus-Khrustalny is a city of craftsmen, the glass capital of Russia.
In the program:
Visit the Maltsovs Crystal Museum, located in St. George's Cathedral, built in 1892-1903 by the famous architect L.N. Benois. The interior of the cathedral was painted by the outstanding artist V.M. Vasnetsov and decorated with rich mosaics by V.A. Frolov. The museum's exposition presents the entire history of Russian glassmaking in unique crystal and glass masterpieces.

Murom is the most ancient city of the Vladimir region, it was mentioned in the "Tale of Bygone Years" back in 862! Murom is a city of white—stone monasteries, merchant houses of the 19th century and the birthplace of the epic hero Ilya Muromets.

The Trinity Convent, where the relics of Peter and Fevronia, the patrons of love and marriage, rest;

Nizhny Novgorod is an amazing city located at the confluence of two great rivers — the Volga and the Oka.

The Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin is a unique military engineering structure of the early 16th century. It currently retains the image of a medieval fortress: blind towers in several tiers, impenetrable walls with narrow slits of loopholes.
The most important architectural landmark of the Kremlin is the Cathedral of St. Michael the Archangel, a unique monument of temple architecture of the 17th century.

A unique monument of ancient Russian stone residential architecture of the 17th century, the exhibits of which tell about the way of merchant life.

Many thanks to “Big Country” for this wonderful tour. The entire trip was organized exceptionally well: the hotels, meals, and transportation were all excellent. But the real highlight of the journey was our tour guide, Denis!!! Honestly, without him the trip would not have been nearly as memorable. Visiting so many churches and historical sites without meaningful context would have quickly become monotonous. Most of the local guides simply rushed through the program with dry facts and dates, almost like a school lecture. Denis, however, made everything come alive. Even before we arrived at each destination, he was already sharing fascinating stories and background information on the bus, which helped us appreciate the places so much more once we got there. Not a single person was late for the bus in the mornings! Everyone was eager not to miss his stories!!! He has an incredible knowledge of the history and geography of the region, and he could make even the scenery outside the window interesting!!! Listening to him never felt tiring because he spoke with such enthusiasm and passion!!! For the last two days we had a different guide, and the contrast was huge - unfortunately, it just wasn’t engaging at all. To sum it up: excellent organization, comfortable travel conditions, and an outstanding guide like Denis made this trip truly special!!! I only wish there were more professionals like him.
