Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Murmansk. Dinner at the restaurant. Northern Lights hunting trip
You arrive in the hero city of Murmansk by air or railway transport.
We recommend that you arrive before 16:00 so that you have time to get to the hotel and check in.
Check-in at the hotel according to international standards starts at 14:00.
Check-in time at the hotel can be changed/ different, in case of postponement of check-in time, things can be left in the luggage room.
A general gathering of the group for dinner and acquaintance.
The meeting time of the group is 18:30 at the address: 5/23 Five Corners Square, Vorovsky St., Meridian Hotel lobby (the exact time will be indicated by the guide the day before).
We will go to one of the Arctic cuisine restaurants for dinner.
The menu includes: a choice of hot dishes, dessert, drink and warming tea. You can order additional items from the menu (to be paid for yourself).
Let's go hunting for the northern Lights!
The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, and no one can guarantee its appearance.
Gathering of the group at the Meridian Hotel. The guide will inform you about the exact time the day before. Please do not be late and always stay in touch, as the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, and check–out times may change.
Hunting can take several hours, we kindly ask you to take care of warm clothes and shoes in advance!
Taking photos during the aurora is included in the price. During the shooting, you must carefully listen to the guide, observe safety precautions, and turn off the flash on the cameras.
Important! The photographer guide takes several general group shots after each participant's photo. If the flash duration allows, you can take a few additional pictures.
We are returning to Murmansk, to the starting point. The next day will be no less fabulous.
Day 2 - Teriberka or Kirovsk (in case of closure of the road to Teriberka)
Gathering of the group in Teriberka.
The guide will inform you of the departure time the day before, the approximate departure time is 08:00 (time may vary, depending on weather conditions).
We will meet in the lobby of the Meridian Hotel, 5/23 Vorovsky St., Five Corners Square, Murmansk.
On this day in the program:
Crossing the endless tundra towards the ocean. The trip to Teriberka will take about 2.5 hours in one direction.
The cemetery of abandoned ships.
A boat trip in search of wonders.
Lunch with a view of the ocean and the enchanting beauty of Teriberka.
The tour includes a multi-course set lunch: chicken soup or fish soup with tender fillet of sea fish, a choice of meat or fish dish with a side dish, mors made from fresh northern berries.
Teriberka Nature Park.
Important! For reasons beyond the control of the company, lunch may be canceled.
Among the main places included in the park, we will visit the Battery Waterfall and dragon Eggs beach.
During the snowy winter, when you can't get to Dragon Eggs Beach, Battery Falls and other natural attractions on foot, we'll use a snowmobile sled.
A sandy beach and unity with nature. You can ride on the northernmost swing and take photos overlooking the ocean.
We say goodbye to Teriberka and the ocean.
We're going hunting for the Northern Lights.
Please note! The road to Teriberka may be closed in winter due to weather conditions, we do not risk your safety.
In this case, the trip will be changed to another destination — Kirovsk:
Gathering of the group in Kirovsk.
The guide will inform you of the departure time the day before, the approximate departure time is 08:00 (time may vary, depending on weather conditions).
We arrive in Kirovsk.
Sightseeing tour of the city.
Apatit Museum and Exhibition Center.
Lunch at the restaurant.
The snow village.
Polar Alpine Botanical Garden Institute (if the snow village is closed).
Mysterious Forest Art Park.
Return to Murmansk.
Day 3 - Getting to know Murmansk and the Ethnographic Program
Gathering a group for a sightseeing tour. The guide will inform you of the departure time the day before.
We will meet in the lobby of the Meridian Hotel, 5/23 Vorovsky St., Five Corners Square, Murmansk.
We are going on a sightseeing tour of the hero city of Murmansk.
The first point of the tour will be the Marine Station and the nuclear icebreaker Lenin (external inspection, guided tour if tickets are available).
The next point of the tour will be the Green Cape Hill and the Memorial to the "Defenders of the Soviet Arctic", popularly known as "Alyosha".
There is a monument "Waiting" not far from the defender of the Arctic.
We are going to an active recreation park for an ethnographic program:
Visit to the animal park (husky dogs and reindeer).
Getting to know the shaman.
The Northern All-Around and the Shaman's Plague:
throwing (wooden) axes;
throwing a tynzey on a polecat (a special rope on a bar used to drive reindeer in a team);
northern football (in national skirts, and the ball is stuffed with cloth, which complicates the game);
Tug of war (the game continues as long as the first player continues to hold the stick in his hands);
deer hunting by tynzey (you need to throw a rope over the model animals);
a story about the culture and way of life of the Sami settlements in the Murmansk region;
tea party (northern tea – willow tea, cloudberry sepals, blueberry leaf);
photographing in national Sami costumes;
drawing runes on a stone, telling about the meanings of certain runes;
reindeer sledding 1 km;
tasting set of tinctures in the shaman's plague (tea/mors for children);
Crossbow shooting range based on wild animal models (3 crossbow shots);
hot lunch (soup, pancakes, tea).
We're going hunting for the Northern Lights.
Day 4 - Ice-floating. Completion of the program
Group gathering for ice-floating.
The guide will inform you of the departure time the day before. We will meet in the lobby of the Meridian Hotel, 5/23 Vorovsky St., Five Corners Square, Murmansk.
Arrival at the territory, acquaintance.
Briefing, we change into emergency suits in a warm winter tent.
The beginning of the swim is accompanied by a professional guide.
After bathing, we chat over a cup of hot tea.
Return to the city.
Lunch.
Transfer to the airport.

The main museums are within walking distance, for example, the historical exposition of the first nuclear icebreaker Lenin, moored in the city bay.

It's important to know

The Northern Lights season on Kola Island opens on September 1 and lasts until April. The chances and probability of seeing a colorful phenomenon are about the same at any time. The main conditions are solar activity and suitable weather conditions.

The organization of the tour was excellent. However, there was one downside: on the last day, the departure was scheduled for seven in the morning, and the group had to leave without breakfast. This isn’t our first trip, and in similar situations, we’ve usually been provided with packed meals. Unfortunately, this time that didn’t happen, and the hotel breakfast also starts at seven.
