We recommend taking the necessary set of medicines with you: medicines used for problems of the gastrointestinal tract, medicines used for colds, remedies for headaches, nausea. If you take any medications individually, do not forget to take them with you in the required amount.

Staying in the wild is always associated with a number of potential dangers.

1. Movement during the active part of the tour must be carried out strictly along the path indicated by the instructor guide; it is unacceptable to try to "cut" the path, choose your own, etc. without the consent of the instructor guide. In mountainous areas, keep a close eye on the road and look at your feet, especially after rain.
2. In case of unauthorized deviation of the tourist from the established route and independent implementation of trekking, climbing or crossing, as well as any other actions, the participant undertakes obligations to comply with personal safety measures.
3. Do not make amateur ascents to high ground (especially rocks), crossings over crayfish, canyons, etc. This may turn out to be much more difficult than you initially thought, and lead to an accident. Do not climb boulders and rocks, do not approach the edges of cliffs and river banks, do not drop stones from steep slopes.
4. When passing the route, pay attention to where you step on, if you step on a snake, it can bite you. Remember, snakes attack only for the purpose of self-defense.
5. On the route, tourists should be disciplined, follow the instructions and commands of the head, provide assistance in difficult areas, do not overcome them without reconnaissance, do not show daredevilism and do not panic in difficult, extreme conditions.

You have purchased a ticket and know that the mountains are a place of increased danger to the health and life of urban residents trapped in the natural environment.

In the mountains, the weather changes very often. There are thunderstorms, strong winds, low and high temperatures, rock and ice collapses, mudflows. A person is affected by the difference in heights, temperatures, increased ultraviolet activity of the sun and other factors.

• It is necessary to protect yourself from the sun. Remember that the mountains have high levels of solar radiation. You can get a burn even on a cloudy day. The eyes must be protected with sunglasses with a protection level of at least 3. It is mandatory to apply daily sunscreen with maximum protection factor to all exposed areas of the body (hands, face, ears) before going on the route.
• Do not allow overheating or hypothermia. You should be dressed according to the current weather and temperature conditions.
• When going out on a route, even on a sunny day, be sure to take a raincoat with you. The weather in the mountains can change dramatically.
• Take care of your feet! Take measures in advance against corns: take only comfortable, worn shoes for tracking; before going on the route, as a preventive measure, stick a patch on all problem areas in advance. Use special trekking boots with a durable sole and ankle support to minimize the risk of injury when walking on rough terrain.
• Be careful among the thickets of hogweed (when its leaves get wet from dew, this plant becomes extremely poisonous. You may get a chemical burn, which takes a long time and painfully). You need to have closed clothes, long sleeves, pants so as not to get burned, this will also save you from sunburn.
• Inform the guide-instructor in a timely manner about the deviations of your well-being from normal. Have a personal first aid kit with you, tailored to your individual needs.
• Alcohol consumption is not recommended during the trip, and the use of narcotic and psychotropic substances is also prohibited. This can lead to a sharp deterioration of your well-being in high-altitude conditions, disruption of the acclimatization process and other adverse consequences. In case of violation of this rule, the responsibility for the consequences lies with the tourist.
• Wash vegetables and fruits thoroughly. Do not eat meat dishes that have not been subjected to thermal treatment. If you eat in a restaurant, keep in mind that national cuisine can be spicy, fatty and unsuitable for your stomach. Do not eat mushrooms, berries and other plants.
• With extreme caution, buy alcoholic beverages that are not factory-made (homemade wine) from private individuals, as they may be of poor quality and harmful to health. We ask you to observe moderation in drinking alcohol.
• Do not go unaccompanied for walks, picnics or to visit unfamiliar people.

The tourist should know that the guide has the right to: take the necessary measures aimed at ensuring the safety of participants, up to changing the route or early termination of the program due to natural hazards and other circumstances, as well as, if necessary, providing assistance to the victim. To separate the group in an emergency situation, based on the actual availability of forces and means, the specific situation and the maximum probability of completing the tasks of eliminating the accident.

Travel is organized by minivans, minibuses, jeeps, UAZ, depending on the number of people in the group and the quality of the roads. Each vehicle has a first aid kit. During the journey, stops, rest, walks, picnics are expected. Smoking is not allowed on buses, stops in prohibited places, protected areas.

In case of violation of the Rules of travel in transport, the representative of the company (the driver) has the right to drop off the violator at the nearest traffic police post. In this case, compensation for the cost of the voucher and transport is not made.

The monetary unit is the Russian ruble. On the route, in cafes and restaurants, you can pay only in cash. It is better to stock up on cash in advance at the Mineralnye Vody airport, since there are no ATMs in the Digor Gorge.

The age limit for tour participants is at least 12 years old and at least 65 years old. If the age of the tourist exceeds 65 years, the decision on his participation in the tour program is made on the basis of a questionnaire. When booking a tour, we ask you to reflect information about your health and physical fitness as accurately as possible in the questionnaire.

Participants are required to be in good physical shape and have no medical contraindications to physical exertion (cardiovascular diseases, etc.). The tourist bears full responsibility for intentionally hiding information about diseases from the organizers, which can lead to irreversible consequences. We have no right to monitor your health status. Therefore, we are not responsible for accidents that occur as a result of your body's reaction to physical exertion and elevation changes.

Before the start of the tour, every tourist must undergo a safety briefing and sign up for it.

The main diseases for which it is not recommended to go to the mountains:

• angina pectoris of functional class III-IV,
• hypertension 3 art .,
• chronic renal failure,
• acute stages of somatic diseases (myocardial infarction, acute cerebrovascular accident, hypertensive crisis, asthmatic status in bronchial asthma, etc.),
• cardiovascular diseases,
• lung diseases,
• the stage of exacerbation of chronic inflammatory processes,
• acute infectious diseases.

As part of the program, we will be located at an altitude of 1500-2300 meters above sea level. Accommodation according to the program is at an altitude of 1,900 meters above sea level. At these altitudes, the body does not experience noticeable oxygen starvation, but shortness of breath may occur during the first days of active physical exertion. In this regard, the tour program excludes heavy physical activity in the first days.

The local population communicates in Russian, but Ossetian speech is often used in conversations among themselves. The participants of the tour must respect the cultural and historical values, traditions and customs of the indigenous and local population of the region. It is necessary to respect local customs and laws, behave with dignity and kindness.

Remember that in the Caucasus they do not accept defiant behavior, disrespect for elders, very open and vulgar clothes, excessive attention to others (especially to women), the manifestation of loving feelings in public (gentle touches, kisses) is condemned.

It is not necessary to address strangers of the opposite sex on the streets, speak loudly and obscenely, drink alcoholic beverages on the street.

The climate in North Ossetia depends on its topography, location in relation to the basins of the Black and Caspian Seas, latitude of the area and other factors. The climate in the mountains is more humid and cooler than in the lowlands. In summer, mountain valley winds prevail in the mountains (during the day the wind blows up the gorge, at night - vice versa). Up to an altitude of 2000 m above sea level (the ridges are wooded, grazing and partly Rocky) the climate is temperate continental. The average temperature in July is plus 15-17°C. The summer is cool. Precipitation falls up to 1000 mm per year. 350-400 mm of precipitation per year falls in the mountain valleys, which is half as much as in the flat part of the republic.

Meeting:

Group transfer from the airport (railway station) Mineral Waters are carried out at the appointed time, but no later than 13:00. At the airport, tourists are greeted by a driver with a Digoria sign at the exit of the arrivals hall. Our transport picks up tourists from the railway station, depending on the arrival time of the trains, but no later than 12:30.

Send-off:

Tourists are escorted to the airport and Mineralnye Vody railway station for flights departing after 20:00 local time. The bus departs 6 hours before departure. For tourists arriving/leaving at other times, individual transfers can be arranged for an additional fee starting from 8000 rubles.

The time of group transfers is based on the flight time of the group members. The time indicated in the program is approximate, the exact time will be indicated in the memo before the start of the tour.

Please note that the time of the group transfer is selected taking into account the flight data of ALL tour participants based on the arrival/ departure time indicated on the ticket, which tourists provide no later than 5 days before the start of the tour. In the absence of a ticket, the departure time of the transfer is selected by the tour operator independently.

The route of the program takes place in the border area. Therefore, in order to legally stay there, it is necessary to issue a pass. If you are not a Russian citizen, then the pass must be issued 45 days before the date of arrival at the resort. 

For your convenience, we will arrange and send the completed application to the relevant border authorities ourselves. To do this, send your details (a copy of your passport, visa to the Russian Federation (if available), residence address, contact phone number).

For Russian citizens, a pass is issued on the spot.

The tour operator reserves the right to close due to weather conditions/the opening of routes by the Elbrus National Park, to make changes to the sequence of the program without changing the volume of services provided.
