Day 1 - The Kremlin Complex and the Millennium of Russia Monument
Arrival in Novgorod. We meet the train from Moscow at 06.24 train No. 42 and St. Petersburg at 10.26 train No. 7001 and additional train No. 7931).
Meeting with the guide at the railway station with the sign "Stif" at the main entrance from the platform.
Guaranteed hotel accommodation at 14.00. Morning check-in if possible. You can leave your belongings free of charge in the luggage room of the hotel.

Guided tour of the Kremlin complex "Walls and towers of Ancient Detinets". The year 1044 was founded by Yaroslav the Wise — the walls and towers of the Ancient Kremlin, a Veche was held here, the election of the Mayor, and chronicling was conducted.
Likhudov building: St. Sophia Cathedral (XI century) – an outstanding monument of ancient Russian architecture; St. Sophia Bell Tower of the XYI century and a unique collection of ancient bells of Veliky Novgorod (XVI – XVII centuries); Monument "The Millennium of Russia" — an encyclopedia of the Russian state, imprinted in bronze – is a chronicle of the thousand-year history of the Russian state.

Day 2 - Excursion to the residence of the Novgorod Lords
Breakfast at the hotel.
Excursion to the residence of the Novgorod lords. The Faceted Chamber is the treasury of Veliky Novgorod.
Visit to the Vladyka and Crusade Chambers – jewelry art of the VI-XIX centuries. There are more than 200 exhibits, among them there are masterpieces of world significance and all the famous techniques known in medieval art are represented.
Visit to the Russian Icon Museum, one of the largest icon painting exhibitions in Russia in the 11th-18th centuries. The oldest surviving Russian icon "Peter and Paul" of the XI century. The main part of the collection consists of the works of Novgorod icon painters of the XI-XV centuries.
Lunch at a cafe.

Day 3 - Medieval Novgorod and Yaroslav's Courtyard
Breakfast at the hotel.
Country tour: We invite you to a fascinating and informative excursion "To the origins of Russia!".
We will visit an amazing place — Yaroslav's Courtyard, where you will hear what the Novgorod veche was about, why there are so many temples on the territory of the auction and where the princely court of the famous Russian Prince Yaroslav the Wise was located.
The acquaintance with the history of the ancient city will continue in the picturesque southern surroundings, where the monastery of St. George, one of the oldest in Russia, is hidden from view. The monastery is located at the source of the Volkhov River, flowing from the legendary Lake Ilmen.
And the route will end with a walk through the Novgorod village in the Museum of Wooden Architecture "Vitoslavlitsy". You will touch the traditions of the Russian countryside and learn a lot of interesting things: how huts were built without a single nail, get acquainted with the life of Novgorod peasants. The fabulous beauty of the interiors will not leave anyone indifferent!

Sightseeing tour of Pskov: Kremlin, Dovmont city, Trinity Cathedral, Zahab, Kremlin walls and towers, Pokrovskaya Tower and Church of the Intercession and Nativity of the Virgin from the Breach, Varlaamovskaya Tower and walls of the roundabout city, merchant chambers, temples and chapels, monuments to Prince Alexander Nevsky and Equal-to-the-Apostles Princess Olga.
Departure to Izborsk.
Excursion to the "Reserved Izborsk", the history of the ancient Truvorovo settlement and the Izborsk fortress, the miraculous Slovenian keys.
Transfer to Pechory.

Excursion to the active Pskov-Pechora Holy Dormition Monastery, an Orthodox shrine for all Christian believers in the world, where the spirit of humility, patience and love is found.
Return to Pskov.

Volkhov Hotel

The Volkhov Hotel is the oldest operating hotel in Veliky Novgorod. The housewarming party in the historical center of the city on Predtechenskaya Street took place back in 1959, on August 8 and was timed to coincide with the celebrations dedicated to the 1,100 th anniversary of the ancient Russian city.

Initially, the hotel had 108 rooms, its main decoration was a marble staircase.
The complete reconstruction of the building, carried out in 1998-1999, turned the hotel into a modern, comfortable hotel that meets all standards. Moreover, without violating the original architectural plan, preserving all the positive features of a good-quality building.

In 2013-2014, a large-scale renovation of the halls and rooms was carried out, and the hotel was transformed again. The hotel's room stock and appearance are updated every year.
