Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Tour of the Kremlin complex "Walls and towers of Ancient Detinets"

    Arrival in Novgorod (we meet the train from Moscow at 06:24 train No. 42 and St. Petersburg at 10:26 train No. 7001 and additional train No. 7931).

    Meeting with the guide at the railway station at the main entrance from the platform.

    Guaranteed hotel accommodation at 14:00. Morning check-in if possible. You can leave your belongings free of charge in the luggage room of the hotel.

    Guided tour of the Kremlin complex "Walls and towers of Ancient Detinets". In 1044, the walls and towers of the Ancient Kremlin were laid by Yaroslav the Wise, a Veche was held here, a Mayor was elected, and the Likhudov Corps was chronicled.

    St. Sophia Cathedral (11th century) is an outstanding monument of ancient Russian architecture, the St. Sophia Bell Tower of the 10th century and a unique collection of ancient bells of Veliky Novgorod (XVI – XVII centuries).

    The monument "The Millennium of Russia" is an encyclopedia of the Russian state, imprinted in bronze — it is a chronicle of the thousand–year history of the Russian state.

    Excursion to the residence of the Novgorod lords. The Faceted Chamber is the treasury of Veliky Novgorod.

    Visit to the Vladyka and Crusade Chambers – jewelry art of the VI-XIX centuries. There are more than 200 exhibits, among them there are masterpieces of world significance and all famous techniques known in medieval art are represented.

    Guided tour "The history of Novgorod from ancient times to the present day": a rich world of ancient objects (handicrafts, weapons, jewelry, musical instruments, chess, children's toys, masks) dating back to the Neolithic and late Middle Ages.
