Primorye is a land of amazing nature, where everyone will find something of their own. To make your trip comfortable and safe, we have prepared this memo for you with important information and tips.
There can be up to 50 people on excursions around Vladivostok, for example, a city tour, this tour is common for several tours.
1. Terrain: mountains, hills, and elevation differences.
The seaside terrain is mountainous. The low mountains, which we call the hills, are old, forested volcanoes. They are smooth but steep, so even in the city center you will constantly climb and descend.
Choosing a hotel in Vladivostok: We recommend choosing hotels in the center, so that the sights, restaurants and places of gathering for excursions are within walking distance.
Accommodation on the outskirts. If you have chosen a residential area, be prepared to spend at least 1 hour to get to the center. You can use a taxi, but this is an additional cost.
Transport. Taxi (Maxim, Uber, Yandex) – the average cost is 300-600 rubles, public transport – 45 rubles.
For whom comfort is important. If you are traveling with a child under 10 years old or your age is 60+, we recommend city tours, as natural routes with altitude differences may be difficult for you.
It is difficult for children because of insufficient endurance, and for older people because of possible problems with the musculoskeletal system and the cardiovascular system.
Stores and groceries. What should I take with me on a picnic?
The shops. There are supermarkets everywhere, including convenience stores. Prices are higher than the national average, but no one will go hungry.
Lunch-picnic. If you have a picnic lunch on your program, buy water, cookies, an apple, bread, sliced bread, cheese, nuts, and dried fruits at the store. Take what won't spoil in the heat, and don't take too much.
New products. Try new foods with caution, especially seafood. The locals know what protein poisoning is. Do not experiment on the route!
THE DIGESTIVE TRACT. If you have a weak stomach, your pills are always with you.
2. Roads and transport. Get ready for the journey!
Roads. Primorye is a border region, and roads are often unpaved, dusty, and pitted.
Distances. Long distances between settlements and places of interest. Get ready for long journeys.
Transport. We use transportation according to the quality of the roads: comfortable buses where the roads are good, and old buses or jeeps on adventure routes.
If you get seasick, then traveling around the edge is not for you.
Boats and piers. Sea adventures!
Islands. There is a lot of sea in Primorye, but there are no comfortable boats and piers. Often the routes go to uninhabited islands, which are attracted by their ecology.
Boarding/disembarking. Boarding and disembarking often take place in shallow seas, without a pier. I'll have to roll up my pants, jump off, and then get on the boat.
Small vessels. We use high-speed vessels for 6-10 people, without cabins and toilets, it can be windy and cool.
Clothes. Bring a warm hooded jacket, sweater, trousers, and sneakers. For rocky beaches, there are swimming slippers.
Weather. The weather is changeable at sea. The boat can bounce on the waves. Listen to the captain and put on your life jackets.
Important! Boat trips are cancelled only because of a storm warning, not because of rain, fog or the sun.
Take a poncho, it will protect you from splashes.
3. Beaches. Wild and unequipped!
Beaches. There are many beautiful, but not equipped beaches in Primorye: there are no toilets, changing rooms, cafes and shops.
What to take with you. Bedding, towel, umbrella, hat, cream, water, picnic lunch.
Safety. Be careful around rocks and cliffs.
Important! Listen to the guide, there are no rescuers on the adventure routes. Trash: Always have a trash bag.
4. Security. Our main task!
Weather. Rain is not the reason for canceling the route. The main thing is to always read the information sheets correctly and ask questions to the tour operator.
5. Packing a backpack for a day trip:
