Day 1 - Sebezh
The day before departure by train from St. Petersburg or Moscow.
08:00 Meeting with a guide at Velikiye Luki Railway Station.

Departure to the city of Sebezh.
Sightseeing tour of Sebezh.
The town of Sebezh is located between the lakes Sebezh and Orono, on the border with Latvia and Belarus. This is one of the most romantic and amazing places in the Pskov region. The atmosphere of a provincial pre-revolutionary city has been preserved here, and even such upheavals as the revolution and the Great Patriotic War hardly touched its appearance.

For those who wish, an excursion to the Sebezhsky National Park (extra charge).
The real pride of Sebezh is the national park, which stretches over 50 hectares. A large number of wild animals, more than 200 species of birds live on its territory, and about 650 species of plants grow, including those listed in the Red Book.

Day 2 - Orekhovo and Velikiye Luki

An incredible discovery awaits you in the village of Orekhovo.
Here, where recently there was a wasteland and a swamp, there is a magnificent garden, and next to it is a small castle in the Anglo-Norman style.
The garden will undoubtedly amaze you with its splendor, elegant floral ornaments, and a Victorian-style rose garden. This is a real European garden in central Russia, reminiscent of Italian Renaissance gardens. A special pride is the Greenhouse of the 19th century, specially imported from France. Unforgettable moments of relaxation await you in the beautiful garden, and the beautiful views will give you a real aesthetic pleasure.
Departure to Velikiye Luki, a guided tour along the road.
The ancient Russian city with the beautiful name Velikiye Luki was named great for its special feats of arms. The settlement, surrounded by earthen ramparts and a wooden wall, was already here in the 12th century. In the 16th century, the troops of Stefan Batory visited here, and during the Time of Troubles, the fortress was besieged more than once by Polish-Swedish troops. Sightseeing tour of Velikiye Luki.
You will see the Velikiye Luki Fortress, which has a history of eight centuries. All these years, the city has been a reliable shield of Russia's western borders. Several famous names are associated with the history of the city. Sofia Kovalevskaya, whose name is named after the city gymnasium, spent her childhood in the estate near Velikiye Luki.
Transfer to Velikiye Luki railway station by 19:15.
Departure to St. Petersburg by train No. 677H at 20:13, arrival in St. Petersburg at 6:12.
Departure to Moscow by train No. 664A at 21:30 or 064 at 19:25.

SGL – single room. DBL is a double with one bed, TWIN is a double with two beds.

The Yubileynaya Hotel is located in the center of Velikiye Luki, just 300 meters from the Central Park of Culture and Recreation. It offers simply decorated rooms, a free fitness centre and free Wi-Fi.

All rooms have a private bathroom with free toiletries, a refrigerator and a TV with satellite channels.

A wonderful tour with a rich and engaging itinerary. Our guide, Svetlana, was very responsible and did an excellent job, explaining everything in detail. I was pleased with both the hotels and the food. Adding extra lunches was a great decision; it made everything more convenient, and I especially enjoyed the Pomor-style lunch at the Pomor restaurant. The transportation was also comfortable and reliable.
