Vechasha once belonged to Dmitry Vasilyevich Tatishchev, who received it in 1785 as a gift from Catherine II, and in the early 1890s, Colonel F. A. Ogarev bought the estate in the name of his wife, Sofia Mikhailovna.
Nikolai Andreevich spent 16 seasons here and of his 15 operas, Rimsky-Korsakov composed "Sadko", "The Tale of Tsar Saltan", "The Tsar's Bride", "The Legend of the Invisible City of Kitezh" and "The Night before Christmas" in the Evening.
Lyubensk manor is located very close to Vechasha.
Rimsky-Korsakov and his family came here for the summer in 1907. The house was rented from Alexandra Viktorovna Bukharova, who decided to sell the estate.
By the end of the summer of 1907, the deal was finalized.
The central composition of the estate consists of a Large house located on the highest place, a spacious flower garden spread out in front of it, framed by slightly curved alleys of acacia and lilac, and an Oval pond with groups of oaks on the sides, to which this flower garden descends.
Nikolai Andreevich wrote his last opera, The Golden Cockerel, at the Lyubensk estate.
