Guided tour of the Orekhovo estate. This estate is the first and only European garden in Russia, which, although privately owned, is accessible to visitors.

Located in the village of Orekhovo, the estate belongs to landscape architect Alexander Grivko, who creates both private and public gardens in Russia and Europe.

He spent his childhood here, and his mother, delighted by the beauty of his native Pskov landscapes, instilled in him a love of nature and plants.

Years later, the outstanding landscape architect will return to the banks of the Orekhovnitsa River to create a garden in memory of his mother who passed away early.

Orekhovo is part of the Russian Estates project, aimed at developing cultural and educational tourism, and is also included in the Great Gardens of the World list.

Walking tour of the historical part of Sebezh. It is a border town that has preserved its architectural heritage.

Here you will see a church built in the XVI century, enjoy the views of Lake Sebezhsky from Castle Hill, stroll along the street of the XIX century, climb Peter's Redoubt and hear many fascinating stories about the city's past.

Guided tour of the Pushkin Museum-reserve "Mikhailovskoye". The Mikhailovskoye estate, which belonged to the Hannibal-Pushkin family, was originally donated to the poet's great-grandfather, Abram Hannibal.

Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin first visited there in his youth, and later returned here as an exile.

On the 100th anniversary of the poet's birth, the estate was bought into state ownership, and the first Pushkin Museum dedicated to his life and work was opened here.

In 1918, the estate was completely destroyed by fire. In 1937, the Museum House was built on the same site, the exposition was opened for the second time, but soon the museum was closed again due to the outbreak of the Great Patriotic War.

During the occupation, the Nazis looted it and burned it, as well as mined Pushkin's grave. After the war, sappers defused thousands of mines in the reserve. Despite enormous difficulties, the museum was restored and reopened for the third time in 1949.

Petrovskoye Manor, like Mikhailovskoye, was presented to Abram Hannibal by Empress Elizabeth Petrovna.

The son of the first owner, Peter Abramovich Hannibal, created a prosperous estate by building a magnificent house with a picturesque park.

It is believed that the image of Peter Abramovich, with whom Pushkin was personally acquainted and often communicated, served as a prototype for Kirill Petrovich Troekurov in the story "Dubrovsky".

In 1918, the house in Petrovsky suffered the same fate as Mikhailovskoye – it was burned down. Restoration of the estate began only in 1969, and in 1977 a House Museum was opened here, telling the story of three generations of the Hannibal family.

Excursion to the Svyatogorsky monastery. Since the 19th century, the monastery has been inextricably linked with the name of A. S. Pushkin. While living in Mikhailovsky, the poet came here in search of inspiration and to bow to the graves of his ancestors, whose memory he treasured.

Working on the work "Boris Godunov", A. S. Pushkin strove for historical truthfulness in portraying the characters of his characters. To do this, he carefully studied the chronicles of N. M. Karamzin's "History of the Russian State" and local sources.

The poet used the archive and library, which was located in the light of the "fraternal" building. It contained the chronicle of the monastery, which recorded the participation of the first abbot of the monastery, Zosima, in the Zemsky Sobor of 1598, which elected Boris Godunov to the kingdom. In April 1836

Pushkin brought his mother's coffin here from the capital and bought a place for himself in the cemetery. A few months later, on February 6, 1837, Pushkin himself, who was killed in a duel, was buried here.
