Hiking in Sakhalin. Tonino-Aniva ring

Sakhalin is the largest island in Russia. The route goes around the Tonino-Aniva Peninsula, along the coast of the Aniva Bay and the Sea of Okhotsk. The main wealth of the island is nature: lakes, seas, waterfalls, forests and rocky shores.

Hiking on Sakhalin resembles the program "In the world of animals": lurgha seals greet us from the water, sometimes they swim to the shore and bask on the rocks; cunning foxes strive to steal something from food and clothes, raccoons, cormorants and seagulls help them in this, followed by an eye and an eye. Well, if we're lucky, we'll even see killer whales.

There will be many interesting obstacles — rock clamps, fords, kurumnik and about 90 kilometers traveled. A route for true romantics who love nature, the sea, the sound of waves and sunsets!

Tour organizer's comments

The campaign has been assigned 3 difficulty categories out of 5 maximum. There will be no serious obstacles in the campaign that require special skills. But it's good if you have experience walking under a backpack and good physical fitness. Because the route is autonomous, we carry everything on ourselves from the first day of the hike and the mileage on some days is quite large.
