Syzran, the third largest city in the Samara region, still retains the charm of a provincial merchant city of the XIX century. Founded in 1683 as a military fortress, the city subsequently became known for successful trade, prosperous agriculture and glorious craftsmen. Today Syzran bizarrely combines the comfort of a modern city and the charm of an ancient merchant province.

Syzran is also considered the gastronomic capital of the region. It is famous for its delicious water, Syzran "tomato" (as the locals call it) and the local delicacy – the "Cobweb" cake, its cream includes jam from Syzran apples. You will definitely want to take this delicious cake with you and treat your friends and acquaintances to it.

Transfer to Samarskaya Luka.

Once upon a time, on the territory of the modern Samara region, the Volga made a sharp turn, encircling the Zhiguli Mountains and forming the mysterious and very beautiful Samara Luka, the recognized pearl of the Volga. It is on this road that we will go on a journey. 

Excursion to Popova Gora inSamarskaya Luka National Park, which offers a stunning view that inspired the famous artist Ilya Yefimovich Repin. You will have the opportunity to take photos against the backdrop of the picturesque Volga expanses, as well as the sculptural compositions of the National Park. 

Rural lunch with a pie and tincture of Zhiguli cherries. 

Zhiguli cherry is a unique, extremely tasty and sweet variety, which was bred by Alexey Beschev in the middle of the last century. The Beshchevskaya cherry grows on limestone soils of the Zhiguli mountains.

A visit to the village of Shiryaevo – the "place of power" by the artist Ilya Repin, who created his famous painting "Boatmen on the Volga" here during the summer of 1870. You will be told about this in the museum located in the house where he stayed with his artist friends.

Transfer to Tolyatti.

You will drive along the Zhigulevskaya hydroelectric dam, a unique hydraulic structure separating the Saratov and Kuibyshev reservoirs – popularly called the Zhigulevsky Sea.

Free time in the city center for self-catering and souvenir shopping.

Transfer to Tolyatti railway station.

Bus and walking tour of Samara, the city where the tallest railway station building and the largest square in Europe are located. The capital of the region combines the energy of a modern business center, the charm of antiquity and resort relaxation. 

A visit to the Samara Regional Art Museum, which is one of the largest Russian museums. Its building, one of the most beautiful and most recognizable buildings in Samara, was built in the early twentieth century and today is an architectural monument of federal significance. 

Lunch with tasting of Zhiguli beer. 

Zhiguli beer is a beer with the same name produced by dozens of factories across the country. But the real "Zhiguli", prepared according to traditional technology and with the most unique taste, is produced only by the Zhiguli Brewery, one of the oldest breweries in Russia. 

Then you will have a walk through the historical center – Leningradskaya pedestrian street and free time to buy Samara souvenirs.

A special world is the Volga embankment. 

Almost five kilometers of sandy beaches, walking alleys, bike paths, sports fields, cozy cafes. Various monuments, original sculptures and creative art objects are concentrated here. Once you find yourself on the Samara embankment, you will want to come back here again and again.
