Bus country tour to Pavlovsk.
Meeting with the guide at the Gostiny Dvor metro station. Departure for the tour at 11:45.
Pavlovsk is the youngest city in the chain of suburban palace and park ensembles. Its history began in 1777, when, on the occasion of the birth of her first child, the future Emperor Alexander I, Catherine II presented her son, Grand Duke Pavel Petrovich, with lands located south of Tsarskoye Selo. A palace was erected on the high bank of the Slavyanka River and a magnificent park was set up – one of the best landscape parks in Europe.
With the accession of Paul I to the throne, Pavlovsk became the personal property of his wife, Empress Maria Feodorovna. Many years have passed, but Maria Feodorovna is invisibly present in her beloved Pavlovsk. The intimate, cozy atmosphere of the palace, the shady alleys of the park, the picturesque valley of the Slavyanka River help to get rid of everyday worries and enjoy the divine beauty of nature.
During the tour, you will walk through the state halls of the Pavlovsk Palace and get acquainted with the main sights of the romantic landscape Pavlovsk Park.
The duration of the tour is 5.5-6 hours.
Transportation is provided for a country tour.
