The fortress is the oldest building in the city. You will see the bastions and buildings of the XVIII century, the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul (the tomb of the Russian emperors), the monument to Peter I.

Access to the Komendantskaya pier, which offers the best panorama of the Palace Embankment.

13:30 Drive to Kotlin Island in the fortress city of Kronstadt. Since its foundation, the main task of Kronstadt has been to protect St. Petersburg from the sea.

The route will pass through the Gulf of Finland along the dam of the complex of flood defenses.

Tourists will learn the history of the construction of protective structures (the creation of a dam and acquaintance with its engineering culverts, a bridge over the Sea Channel and an underwater tunnel under the fairway of the Sea Channel connecting the seaport of St. Petersburg with waterways in the Baltic).
