We are going by the taiga road to the south of Gornaya Shoria to the Shorsky National Park to begin our water trip through the real taiga.

In one of the oldest villages of Gornaya Shoria, Ust–Kabyrze, we will visit the Trehrechye Museum and get acquainted with the ancient trade routes of Gornaya Shoria in the steppe of Khakassia and the Altai Mountains, a small segment of such a path we have to go through today.

Here, at the confluence of mountain rivers, the taiga road ends and the waterway begins.

We change vehicles, get life jackets and board narrow and long motorboats — a complete analogue of the traditional shore boats used by hunters and traders traveling along the mountain river in ancient times.

We move to the upper reaches of the Mras-Su River to the majestic cliffs and taiga cordons, climb into the Grandiose cave, the entrance to which is located at an altitude of 50 m above the river.

We are examining a huge light entrance grotto measuring 50x50 m and about 40 m high.

We have lunch at the taiga cordon and return to Sheregesh.
