We offer you to go on a railway cruise through the cities of the north of Russia. You will get acquainted with Pskov and Veliky Novgorod.

The Pskov part of the trip will give you the joy of meeting not only Pskov, whose history dates back more than 1,500 years and which in the XVI century was one of the five largest European cities, but also with the wonderful Izborsk and the local fortress. Novgorod Day will give excursions around Veliky Novgorod, departure to Staraya Russa — to one of the oldest resorts in Russia, which was also called "Russian Baden-Baden".

This trip is imbued with the spirit of classic Russian travels, stories about the culture of Ancient Russia and Orthodoxy, and the Volga merchants.

Departure to Staraya Russa, travel information.
Visit the city of Staraya Russa, one of the oldest and once richest cities in medieval Russia. The main source of his wealth was salt, which was evaporated from the waters of local springs that gushed here directly from the ground.
Sightseeing bus and walking tour of the city with a visit to the F.M. House Museum.Dostoevsky and the Museum of the novel "The Brothers Karamazov".

Day 3 - Pskov

Transfer to Izborsk, travel tour
Walking tour of Izborsk including a tour of the Museum Quarter, Izborskaya Fortress, Slovenskiye Klyuchy, Truvorov hillfort and Gorodishchenskoe Lake.
Departure to Pechory.
Excursion to the men's active Holy Dormition Pskov-Pechersk monastery, acquaintance with shrines and sights.
The monastery is not only one of the largest and oldest in Russia. This is the only monastery where the prayer word has not been interrupted since its consecration in 1473. The historical and architectural ensemble of the monastery today consists of eleven temples of the XV—XX centuries, and outbuildings, as well as a large belfry with a set of ancient bells.
