Itinerary

Day 1 - Welcome dinner, hunting for the northern Lights
Arrival in Murmansk.
We recommend arriving before 16:00 on the first day so that you can check into the hotel, relax and leave your things.
The transfer is not included in the price of the tour. You can get to your place of residence by taxi or public transport on your own (the cost of a taxi to Murmansk is approximately 1000 rubles).
19:00 Welcome dinner with Arctic cuisine at the restaurant in the city center. It is included in the tour price and will provide an opportunity to get to know the team better.
Departure for the "hunt" for the northern lights lasting 3-5 hours.
The program includes photography and 2 trips to the Northern Lights without additional charges, which increases the chances of seeing it up to 98%! The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, and no one can guarantee its appearance. That is why the program includes 2 trips.
The gathering of tourists takes place in the parking lot at the Azimut hotel (in the center of Murmansk). The approximate time of the fees is 20:00 – 22:00, but it is better not to be late and come a little in advance. The exact time and place of the training camp will be announced by the coordinator the day before.
The duration of the "hunt" is 3-5 hours, depending on how quickly you can find the starry sky. The most northern lights can appear at any moment! The guide will tell you about the nature of the northern lights, and how it happens.
In the process of photographing, group photos are taken first, then individual ones on a first-come, first-served basis.
To keep warm, you will be offered hot tea with light snacks (sweets, chocolate, cookies).
After the tour, you will be taken to your hotel in Murmansk. The approximate time of return is 00:00-02:00 at night.
You will receive photos after the tour for 3-4 days in the format of a link to Google Drive or Yandex Disk.
Day 2 - An ethnic village with deer and huskies
Collection at the entrance to the Azimut hotel (in the center of Murmansk). Please do not be late and arrive 10 minutes before departure.
Departure to the ethnic Sami village (2.5 hours on the way). This is not just a journey, but a real immersion in the ancient traditions and way of life of peoples living in harmony with nature.
Getting to know the reindeer. You will have the opportunity to take photos and videos with these wonderful animals.
A walk through the kennel and a personal acquaintance with the charming huskies.
You will have an exciting trip through the winter forest on a sledge in a dog sled (if there is sufficient snow cover).
After the tour, a hearty lunch will be served for you, which will allow you to enjoy the diverse tastes of the north and communicate with fellow travelers.
Completion of the program and return to Murmansk.
Under favorable weather conditions, a trip to hunt for the northern lights will take place. There will be 2 of them per tour.
Day 3 - Teriberka, the ocean coast and a boat trip
After breakfast, we will go to the Arctic village of Teriberka (130 km from Murmansk).
This is a trip to the very edge of the earth, then only to the North Pole. Along the way, there will be stops in picturesque places to enjoy the amazing landscapes of the tundra.
In Teriberka, you can fully immerse yourself in the special atmosphere of life on the edge of the world. Here you will see the famous cemetery of abandoned ships and the natural scenery for the movie "Leviathan", the throne from "Game of Thrones" and the heavenly swing.
Then go to the pier, where a boat will be waiting to search for whales. You will take part in an exciting sea adventure, and if you are lucky, you will see whales (humpback whales, fin whales, minke whales are found), dolphins, killer whales and belugas.
In case of unsuitable weather conditions, a replacement of the excursion program will be offered.
After the boat trip, you will have a delicious lunch with dishes of Arctic cuisine, included in the price of the tour.
A walk to the outlandish Dragon Eggs beach with huge smooth stones resembling the eggs of huge animals, a visit to the waterfall and enjoying the beauty of the Barents Sea will partially take place on a sledge behind a snowmobile.
After Teriberka, we return to Murmansk.
Under favorable weather conditions, a trip to hunt for the northern lights will take place. There will be 2 of them per tour.

Day 4 - Murmansk, Alyosha Memorial
Gathering near the entrance to the Azimut Hotel. The coordinator will provide details about the exact time and place of the meeting the day before.
On this day you will visit the main attractions of Murmansk. First, the marine station, where you will be told unknown facts about this place and take a walk through the main locations.
You will see with your own eyes the Alyosha Memorial – a monument to the Defenders of the Soviet Arctic and climb the Green Cape hill with stunning panoramic views of the city.
The next stop is the memorial complex for sailors who died in peacetime. Here you can see the cabin of the Kursk submarine, the ship's anchor and the hexagonal lighthouse. It is an impressive combination of architecture and history that leaves an unforgettable impression.
A delicious lunch awaits you after the tour.
The end of the program. You can schedule a flight for this day after 19:00.

Azimut City Hotel Murmansk 4*

Offering a restaurant, Azimut Hotel is located in the center of Murmansk.

Facilities include Wi-Fi, parking, ATM, business center, gym, sauna, solarium, massage room. A shuttle service can be arranged for an additional fee. The interior of the rooms is designed in a uniform style, each of them has comfortable furniture, a TV, a refrigerator, a safe, a mini-bar and a telephone.

A buffet breakfast is served every morning at the Arktika Restaurant. An a la carte dinner is served from 18:00 to 23:00.

The art and local history museums, philharmonic Hall, puppet theater, Central Square are within walking distance. The airport can be reached by car in 40-50 minutes.

This year, I finally fulfilled a dream of visiting the Arctic Circle! A friend and I chose a summer trip to the North: 'Whales, Teriberka and Waterfalls.' We booked through the tour operator 'Big Country' and were really pleased with the experience. In just four days, we collected so many incredible memories: we saw stunning waterfalls, learned fascinating facts about the unique tundra landscape, went on a whale-watching boat ride, took amazing photos at Dragon Egg Beach, visited an indigenous Sami house and enjoyed delicious traditional dishes. We were thrilled with the trip! Special thanks to our guide Victor, who shared so many interesting stories, answered all our questions and led the tour with real passion! We stayed at the Azimut Hotel, which was great. Everything was well-organized with no issues at all—I loved it all!
