Day 1 - Departure from Moscow. Kolomna and Ryazan

Visit to the Kolomna Kremlin.
The architectural complex of the Kolomna Kremlin is the most important historical and cultural monument of Kolomna, which was formed in the XIV-XIX centuries.
Kolomna Kremlin is surrounded by fragments of the fortress wall and preserved towers. Currently, 7 Kremlin towers have been preserved, of which the more significant are Marinkina, Granovitaya and Pyatnitskaya passage.
On the territory of the Kremlin there is a Cathedral Square, the architectural appearance of which consists of:
Assumption Cathedral, built by decree of Dmitry Donskoy;
the tent bell tower (XVII century) is the most powerful belfry of this type in the Moscow region;
Tikhvin Cathedral (XVIII-XIX centuries);
Trinity Novo-Golutvin monastery (XVII – XIX centuries) and school (early XX century).
Among the most ancient buildings of the Kolomna Kremlin are the Resurrection Church adjacent to Cathedral Square (XIV – XIX centuries), in which Prince Dmitry Donskoy and Evdokia of Suzdal were married in 1366, and the church of Nikola Gostiny (1501) – one of the first brick temples in Russia.

The monument to S.A.Yesenin is the main and largest of the monuments to the famous countryman located in Ryazan.
The saying "We have mushrooms with eyes in Ryazan, they are eaten, they look" is dedicated to the original sculptural composition "Mushrooms with eyes in Ryazan".

On the southwestern side of the Kremlin hill there is an ancient earthen rampart – a defensive structure of the XIII-XVII centuries. Until the end of the XVII – beginning of the XVIII century. wooden walls and towers of the Kremlin were located on the rampart. In front of the rampart was a defensive moat filled with water.

The territory of the Cathedral Park is connected to the Kremlin by the Glebovsky Bridge, which successfully performed military and defensive functions in the XV century. During sieges, the bridge rose to the walls, thereby blocking the way of the attackers.

In the western part of the Cathedral Park there is the Church of the Savior on Yar, which offers a wonderful view of the flood meadows. The elegant five-domed church is deservedly considered one of the best in Ryazan, and is also the oldest functioning temple in the city.

Day 2 - Goose-Crystal and Murom. Transfer to Nizhny Novgorod

Tour of Gus-Khrustalny – the city of craftsmen, where glassblowers live and work.
Excursion to St. George's Cathedral, built in 1892-1903 by the famous architect L.N.Benois. The interior of the cathedral was painted by the outstanding artist V.M. Vasnetsov and decorated with rich mosaics by V.A.Frolov.
At the moment, the Maltsov Crystal Museum is located in the temple building, where the entire history of Russian glassmaking is presented in unique crystal and glass masterpieces.

You will drive through the historical streets that have preserved the beauty and former greatness: Bolshaya and Malaya Pokrovskaya, Rozhdestvenskaya, Ilyinskaya.
You will visit the observation decks, which offer "breathtaking" views of the riverine part of the city: Nizhny Novgorod has the highest embankments of the Volga and Oka and everyone can enjoy beautiful views of the riverine expanses.

Visit the Stroganov (Christmas) Church– an architectural monument of the XVII century.

You will visit the monument to V.P.Chkalov and the Chkalov stairs, where you will once again have an unforgettable view of Strelka and the Volga region.
The Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin is a unique military engineering structure of the beginning of the XVI century. and currently retains the image of a medieval fortress: blind towers in several tiers, impregnable walls with narrow slits of loopholes. The chain of fortifications in the plan has the shape of an irregular polygon, at the corners of which there are towers.
The most important architectural landmark of the western section of the Kremlin is the Cathedral of St. Michael the Archangel, a unique monument of temple architecture of the XVII century.

The main cathedral of the monastery has preserved the original paintings, it is the oldest extant temple in Yaroslavl. A handwritten list of the masterpiece of ancient Russian literature "The Word about Igor's Regiment" was discovered here.

Kostroma is the cradle of the Romanov dynasty. It was in the Ipatievsky Monastery of Kostroma that Mikhail Fedorovich Romanov hid from Godunov's disgrace. Ipatievsky Monastery is the main symbol of Kostroma.
Inspection of the territory of the recreated Kostroma Kremlin, where the miraculous icon of the Fedorovskaya Mother of God is kept in the Epiphany Cathedral. It was written around 1239 and glorified by great miracles and healings. This is the most ancient work of iconography in Kostroma. The icon has long been revered as the defender of the city and the guardian of the Romanov family.
