Departure to the city of Shuya.
Sightseeing bus and walking tour of Shuya, an old cozy Russian town above the Tezo River, famous since the beginning of the 16th century.
Shuya is known as the birthplace of the "elected tsar" Vasily Shuisky, and is also famous for its merchant dynasties and revered holy icons.
You will admire the beautifully preserved merchant buildings, stroll through the historical center of the city and visit the grandiose Resurrection Cathedral.
The height of its bell tower is 106 meters, second only to the bell tower of the Peter and Paul Cathedral in St. Petersburg (120 m), but it is the tallest in Russia among the free-standing ones!
The cathedral itself houses the miraculous Shuisky Icon of the Smolensk Mother of God, which saved the city from pestilence in the 17th century.
Transfer to the city of Palekh (25 km).
Walking tour of the center of Palekh. Palekh is a village where every tenth resident is an artist. The golden Firebird serves as the symbol of the village, and the amazing art of creating Palekh lacquer boxes has been living here for almost a hundred years.
Visit to the Museum of Palekh Art: the house museum of the founder of the craft, I.I. Golikov, and an exhibition of the history of the Palekh craft, an exhibition hall of modern lacquer miniatures, an exhibition of icons and a souvenir shop.
Visit to the Holy Cross Church (17th century), painted in 1807 by the Palekh icon painters.
Professor of Art History A.V. Bakushinsky called these murals "the last great wall painting, completing the cycle of development of the ancient Russian religious painting tradition."
Transfer to the village of Ponkino (5 km).
A gastronomic feast of organic village products.
Russian Russian cabbage soup, potatoes with herbs, lard from the village, pickles from the cellar, homemade bagels with fragrant tea and a strong Russian drink are a unique taste of Slavic cuisine.
An exciting interactive program "Christmas in the village" with drinking songs, dancing to the Russian accordion.
Remembering folk traditions, you will wear Russian folk costumes and feel the flavor of the holiday.
Let's remember the traditional ditties and, of course, we'll tell a little fortune about love, luck, and prosperity in the house.
Transfer to Shuya.
An excursion to the city park, which will become the central location of the festival. Here you will find a unique light show "Christmas Miracle Park".
Visitors will be able to walk along a special route, along which mapping and lasers will create a fabulous atmosphere, and musical accompaniment will enhance the effect of "reviving" the forest.
The art object was created by Palekh artists together with specialists from Ivanovo, Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow and St. Petersburg.
