Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Getting to know the North. Boat trip

You arrive in the hero city of Murmansk by air or railway transport on your own.

We recommend arrival before 11:00 so that you have time to get to the meeting place of the group.

Gathering of the group at 12:00 at the address: Five Corners square, 5/23 Vorovsky St., Meridian Hotel lobby (the exact time will be indicated by the guide the day before).

Check in at the hypermarket on the way to Teriberka.

Teriberka is a remote place, shops and pharmacies are often closed, so that you will not be left without food and medicines, we will stop at the hypermarket.

Crossing the endless tundra towards the ocean.

The road to Teriberka will take about 2.5 hours in one direction.

The path itself will run through the amazing and incredible expanses of the northern tundra.

Along the way, we will make several stops to capture the beauty of the North on film.

On the way, the guide will tell you fascinating facts from the history of this amazing region.

Check-in at the hotel according to the program.

The hotel is located in the heart of the famous village of Teriberka, which is located in a picturesque corner of the Kola Peninsula on the coast of the Barents Sea.

Lunch with a view of the ocean and the enchanting beauty of Teriberka. A set lunch of several dishes: chicken soup or fish soup with tender fillet of sea fish, a choice of meat or fish dish with a side dish, a morse made from fresh northern berries.

Important! For reasons beyond the control of the company, lunch may be canceled.

A boat trip in search of wonders.

The most long—awaited thing is that we are going to surf the Barents Sea. A sea voyage through the waters of the Barents Sea awaits you.

Along the way, we will observe the bird markets, enjoy the fascinating views of the steep cliffs going deep into the seabed and the vast expanses of the Barents Sea.

And most importantly, along the way we will have a unique opportunity to see whales, killer whales and other marine life!

Their appearance depends on many factors, one of which is the weather, but we are setting ourselves up for luck and success!

Important! If it is impossible to go to sea due to weather conditions, the tour program will be adjusted and the cost will be recalculated.

Dinner at the restaurant with Arctic cuisine (optional, self-paid) and free time for a walk around Teriberka

    Seafood tasting.

One day you will have the opportunity to taste fresh seafood extracted from the bottom of the ocean: scallops, sea urchins. You will be shown how to properly cut them up and eat them raw. Enjoy seafood delicacies in a cozy atmosphere.

Important! Due to weather conditions and the availability of seafood at sea, the tasting may be cancelled. The cost of the tour will be recalculated.

In your free time, you can walk around the sights of the village:

    • Filming locations of the film "Leviathan": the new life of Teriberka.

Teriberka gained a second wind after the screening of the film "Leviathan" directed by Andrey Zvyagintsev, whose filming took place in these picturesque places. Here you can personally walk around the locations where the film was shot and see the skeleton of a mystical creature.

    • Sandy beach and harmony with nature.

    The main attractions include:

Big thanks to our guide, Ruslan, and driver, Alexey! Ruslan shared fascinating facts, quickly resolved any questions, and always had a plan B ready for any unexpected changes. One such change was when we saw blasting work along the highway to Teriberka, which made us arrive back an hour later than planned, but it was totally worth it! A quick tip about clothing: bring not only warm clothes but also a swimsuit, T-shirts, and shorts (if you’re visiting in summer). The memo didn’t mention this, but you might want to take a dip in the Barents Sea or Seydozero, and the weather can be unpredictable, swinging from very hot to very cold. I’d also like to mention their flexibility. We were staying at the Cosmos Hotel, a 20-minute walk from the meeting point, and when we had excursions leaving at 7:30, and even 7:00 the next day, those 20 minutes made a big difference. They kindly picked us up directly from the hotel—special thanks for that!
