We leave Murmansk at 09:00 and drive to the village of Liinakhamari (about 2 hours on the way).
On the way, we will stop at the Titovka cafe for delicious pies with fish and cloudberries! (not included in the price).
At the entrance to the village we will see a monument – the prow of a warship protruding from the rock, which was erected in honor of the anniversary of the liberation of Liinahamari from Nazi troops. The memorial sign symbolizes the feat of the boat sailors who stormed the fortified Liinahamari water fortress in October 1944.
Arriving in Liinahamari, we will begin our 10 km walking journey and first of all we will go to inspect the "circles" — artillery positions for placing huge guns that have not been installed here. The Fascists planned to build a real underground city here. Some of the caves-underground passages are well preserved.
Our way lies along the old German road through the tundra, where sometimes you can see a moose walking along the road. Gradually, the road will lead us to the trail, and it will lead to the coastline, consisting of fairly steep hills.
Finally, we will see the sea and the peninsula itself!
We will set up our camp in a convenient location (according to the weather) and go to explore the peninsula.
There is something to see here: the "echo of war" in the form of artillery installations, and wonderful nature that can delight! It's like we're on an island in the ocean!
After dinner, we'll go to bed.
