  • Day 1 - Arrival in Murmansk. The Hunt for the Northern Lights

    Welcome to the Kola Peninsula!

    Arrival in Murmansk. You will get to Murmansk on your own (Azimut Hotel). 

    Arrival at the hotel, check-in to the rooms. 

    You will have free time to rest before going hunting for the northern lights. 

    We recommend booking tables in the restaurant in advance (we recommend the Terrace, Tundra, Gray Goose, Royal Hunt, White Rabbit) due to the high workload for the New Year holidays.

    Pick-up at the Azimut Hotel (approximate pick-up time is 21:00).

    The duration of the tour is 3-5 hours. 

    Photography is included in the price of the tour.

    This program "New Year's Arctic Holidays" includes 2 trips to hunt for the northern lights.

    The organizer reserves the right to decide on the exact date of departure for the tour, as we observe weather forecasts, clouds and solar activity.

    The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, and no one can guarantee its appearance. If we do not see the northern Lights during trips to the northern Lights, then there are no discounts and refunds.

    How the Northern Lights tour is going:

    1. The approximate time of the training camp is 21:00. The exact time and place of the training camp will be announced by the coordinator before 19:00.
    2. Let's go on tour! The duration of the hunt is 3-5 hours, depending on how quickly we find the starry sky. The most northern lights can appear at any moment!
    3. Photography is included in the price of the tour. First we will take group photos, then individual ones.
    4. To keep warm, you will be offered hot tea with light snacks (sweets, chocolate, cookies).
    5. During the tour, the guide will tell you about the nature of the northern lights, and how it happens.
    6. After the tour, you will be taken to your place of residence in Murmansk. The approximate time of return to Murmansk is 00:00-02:00.
    7. You will receive photos after January 10 2024 in format of a link to Google Drive or Yandex Disk.

The tour provides accommodation at the Azimut 4* hotel (city center), standard rooms, breakfast buffet included.

Check-in 3-6.01.24 accommodation at the Meridian 4* hotel.

The cost of the tour for 1 person, depending on the accommodation, RUB / person:

  • double room — 89,800 rubles/person.;
  • single room — 114,800 rubles/person.

Possible options for triple accommodation:

  • Room upgrade — 2 single beds and a sofa, the cost will be slightly more expensive. 
  • An extension of the standard room — 2 single beds and a cot, the cost will remain the same.

There are no discounts during the holiday period.

Azimut City Hotel Murmansk 4*

Offering a restaurant, Azimut Hotel is located in the center of Murmansk, right next to the Central Park and a 5-minute walk from the Central Stadium.

The rooms are decorated in bright colors and feature a minibar and a flat-screen TV with cable channels. Blackout curtains are also provided. Each room has a private bathroom with a hairdryer and free toiletries.

Meridian Hotel is located in Murmansk. There are good conditions for comfortable living and recreation.

The rooms are equipped with necessary appliances and furnished with upholstered furniture. All rooms have a telephone system with long-distance and international access.

You can have lunch or dinner at nearby cafes or restaurants. There are also grocery stores and stalls nearby.

For seminars and conferences, you will be offered a conference room for 50 people or a meeting room for 12 people.

The distance to the nearest train station is about 255 meters, and the airport is 24 kilometers away.
