Day 1 - Arrival in Murmansk. The Hunt for the Northern Lights
Arrival in Murmansk.
We recommend arriving in Murmansk before 18:00 on the first day so that you can check into the hotel, relax and leave your things.
The transfer is not included in the price of the tour. You can get to your place of residence by taxi or public transport on your own (the cost of a taxi to Murmansk is approximately 1000 rubles).
Dinner is optional, can be ordered independently.
Departure for the "hunt" for the northern lights lasting 3-5 hours.
The program includes photography and 2 trips to the Northern Lights without additional charges, which increases the chances of seeing it up to 98%! The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, and no one can guarantee its appearance. That is why the program includes 2 trips.
In case it is not possible to see the northern Lights during the trips, discounts and refunds are not provided.
How is the tour of the "hunt" for the Northern lights:
The gathering of tourists takes place near the Azimut hotel. The exact time and place of the training camp is announced by the coordinator the day before. Please do not be late and come 10 minutes before the start.
The duration of the "hunt" is 3-5 hours, depending on how quickly you can find the starry sky. The most northern lights can appear at any moment!
In the process of photographing, group photos are taken first, then individual ones on a first-come, first-served basis.
To keep warm, you will be offered hot tea with light snacks (sweets, chocolate, cookies).
During the tour, the guide will tell you about the nature of the northern lights, and how it happens.
After the tour, you will be taken to a hotel in Murmansk. The approximate time of return is 00:00-02:00 at night.
You will receive photos within 3-4 days after the tour the tour ended in the format of a link to Google Drive or Yandex Disk.

Day 2 - A journey to the ends of the earth. Teriberka
Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure to Teriberka.
The road from Murmansk takes about 3 hours (130 km on the way), there will be 2 photo stops on the way
picturesque places so that you can enjoy the amazing landscapes of the tundra and take photos as a keepsake. Also, a New Year's surprise awaits you on the way.

In Teriberka you will go on a walking tour. Here you will see a cemetery of abandoned ships, natural scenery for the movie "Leviathan", a throne from "Game of Thrones" and a heavenly swing. Part of the program will take place on a sleigh (if there is sufficient snow cover).

Lunch at one of the best restaurants in Teriberka, where you will enjoy the flavors of Arctic cuisine.

After lunch, you will have a walk to the outlandish Dragon Eggs beach with huge smooth stones resembling the eggs of huge animals, visit the waterfall and enjoy the beauty of the Barents Sea.

Return to Murmansk.

Dinner is optional, can be ordered independently.

Under favorable weather conditions, a trip to hunt for the northern lights will take place again. There will be 2 of them per tour.

Day 3 - Khibiny
Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure to one of the oldest mountain formations on the planet, which is about 350 million years old — Khibiny.

An exciting snowmobile safari awaits you here (the route is 23 km long, 1.5-2 hours on the way). You will conquer the snow-capped peaks, enjoying stunning views and fresh Arctic air.

After an active holiday, there will be lunch in a gourmet restaurant where you will taste Arctic cuisine. The chef will surprise you with unique flavors available only in this region.

After lunch, you will visit the exhibition of ice sculptures "Snow Village". Incredible works of art made of ice simply amaze with their detail and beauty.

In the evening, return to Murmansk, where you will have free time for an independent dinner at one of the local restaurants.

Day 4 - Sami village
Breakfast at the hotel and check-out from the hotel. If desired, it will be possible to leave your belongings at the hotel until the evening.

Meet with a guide who will guide you through all the stages of this eventful day.

Departure to the Sami village, where you will be immersed in the fascinating world of culture and traditions of the indigenous people of the North. The Sami are a unique people whose customs and way of life are sincerely admired.

In the village you will see traditional kuvax dwellings, which, like hugs, keep you warm in the most severe frosts.

Of course, you will meet reindeer — these graceful and good-natured creatures that do not leave anyone indifferent. You will be able to feed them and learn many interesting stories about how deer intertwine with the life of the Sami.

Gastronomic master class on Sami cuisine. It will be a real extravaganza of flavors and aromas! Each dish is a small journey into the world of traditions and tastes of the North, which will leave you completely delighted.

You will discover the secrets of cooking, which are passed down from generation to generation, and feel like a part of this amazing culture.

After a busy day, you will return to Murmansk, where the program will end at the Azimut Hotel.

This year, I finally fulfilled a dream of visiting the Arctic Circle! A friend and I chose a summer trip to the North: 'Whales, Teriberka and Waterfalls.' We booked through the tour operator 'Big Country' and were really pleased with the experience. In just four days, we collected so many incredible memories: we saw stunning waterfalls, learned fascinating facts about the unique tundra landscape, went on a whale-watching boat ride, took amazing photos at Dragon Egg Beach, visited an indigenous Sami house and enjoyed delicious traditional dishes. We were thrilled with the trip! Special thanks to our guide Victor, who shared so many interesting stories, answered all our questions and led the tour with real passion! We stayed at the Azimut Hotel, which was great. Everything was well-organized with no issues at all—I loved it all!
