Day 1 - Exploring Murmansk and hunting for the Northern Lights
14:00 Gathering of the group at the Murmansk airport.
The tour to the Kola Peninsula begins with a visit to the main city of this location — harsh Murmansk. This settlement stands on the picturesque hills-hills that adorn the shore of the Kola Bay.
Today we will see the most interesting locations of Murmansk:
Five Corners Square is the center and heart of the city;
a funny monument to cod. She needs to rub her nose.;
art object "To live in the north";
The Lighthouse complex is a beautiful lighthouse, near which there is a huge anchor. And there's also a great view of the city!
monument "Alyosha" — 42-meter tall hero, defender of the city;
nuclear icebreaker "Lenin".
After the tour, check into the hotel where we will stay throughout the tour.
One evening (after 21:00) we will go hunting for the northern lights.

Day 2 - Snowmobiling, tropical pool and master class or Kirovsk, snowmobiling, Snow Village
The program for tours in December:
snowmobiling;
tropical pool;
a master class on making Christmas tree toys.
We're going snowmobiling today! Even if you've never driven this vehicle, it's okay. The instructor will quickly teach you all the tricks, and on a huge iron horse you will boldly (or timidly) race through the snowy expanses of the Kola Peninsula.
Then we go to bask in the huge swimming pool, which is called the "Tropical Bathhouse" here. Let's swim, relax and warm up.
Also today we will attend a real, magical master class on making Christmas tree toys. The master will give you molds, special materials, and you will create Christmas toys with your own hands, which you will soon hang on your Christmas tree!
The active part of the Kola Peninsula tour: 3 km on foot. About 1.5-2 hours by car.
The program for tours in January-March:
the snowy city of Kirovsk;
a curious railway station;
snowmobiling in Khibiny;

The magical forest.
We have a lot of interesting plans today, so we're leaving early!
The city of Kirovsk is very compact, cozy, and comfortable. The main feature of this city is that it is surrounded by mountains on all sides. Not even mountains, but large snow-white hills that resemble trapezoids in shape and vaguely resemble Elbrus. The houses are built so close to the mountains! This creates an absolutely amazing effect.
The mountain range that surrounds Kirovsk is called Khibiny. And it is in the Huts that we will ride snowmobiles.
We will be given special suits, gloves, and a helmet. The instructor will quickly teach you how to control this iron horse. The highway passes through a very beautiful gorge, which is surrounded on all sides by mountains.
There are 2 people riding on one snowmobile, and the activity (instruction + ride) takes about 1-1.5 hours.
Then we will visit the Snow Village. This huge complex occupies more than 2000 m2 and is the largest snow structure in Russia! Figures have been created from ice here, and beautiful lighting has been done. The halls and walls of the buildings are decorated with ice bas-reliefs and lace ornaments.
Please note! The snow Village starts its work at the end of December, so we visit it only on tours from January to March.
Further along the way we will stop at the old railway station. Our instructor will tell you his curious story.
At the end of the day, when it gets a little dark, we go to the most magical location, it's called the "Mysterious Forest".
The owners of this location decorated the forest very beautifully with lighting and made snow sculptures. There are real mazes here that you can't cross. You go, admire, take pictures. It's always much warmer in the woods than outdoors. Therefore, you can walk here for a long time and comfortably!
The active part of the tour to the Kola Peninsula will be 4.1 km on foot. About 6 hours by car, 5-6 hours in Kirovsk.

Day 3 - Kandalaksha. Snowshoeing trip
On our trip we will discover several new seas: the White Sea and the Barents Sea.
Let's start with White!
The cozy village of Kandalaksha stands on the shore of this very White Sea. In winter, it freezes completely and turns into a snow-white desert.
The sea is huge and in order to get a better and more detailed look, we will climb Volosyanaya Mountain.
To make our winter vacation even more interesting, we will climb the mountain in snowshoes!
Consider these to be such big, comfortable winter shoes. No special skills are required, the instructor will quickly teach you how to walk on snowshoes.
Thanks to this device, it is much easier to climb the mountain and slide less.
Volosyanaya Mountain is an infinitely beautiful place with a magical forest!
There will be a lot of Christmas trees along our trail, which are absolutely stunningly wrapped in snow in this place. Trust us, you will make dozens of photos with these magical Christmas trees.
If we climb a little higher, the White Sea will immediately open from a height! It's huge, it even seems endless from here.
Having risen a little higher, a new landscape awaits us: here the trees are already much lower, they are completely wrapped in snow. The snow bends them to the ground, and it seems that dozens of fabulous creatures are standing on the mountain around you! It's so unusual to our eyes and stunningly beautiful!
Then we will go out to the main observation deck, from where the White Sea opens in all its glory on a sunny day. Here we drink tea and enjoy the panorama!
The active part of the tour to the Kola Peninsula: 3.6 km on foot, height difference 205-450 m. About 6 hours by car, 4-5 hours in Kandalaksha.

Day 4 - Teriberka
The next location that we will visit as part of the tour to the Kola Peninsula in winter is the famous village of Teriberka.
What are we going to do in Teriberka? Our plans:
let's ride on a swing that stands on the shore of the sea-ocean, take spectacular photos here.;
We will see the huge skeleton of a sperm whale, which was used during the filming of the movie Leviathan;
let's look at the old ship washed up on the shore of Teriberka;
We will visit the boat art object, the ship cemetery;
Let's take a picture of the frozen Battery waterfall;
And we'll take a walk on Dragon Egg Beach.
And we will constantly admire the Barents Sea, just beyond which is the Arctic Ocean!
Teriberka has always been famous for its fisheries. Therefore, for lunch we will stop at a cozy, local cafe with a view of the northern landscapes. And here we will taste real local delicacies.
Sometimes, due to heavy snowfalls and wind, the road to Teriberka is completely covered with snow, and travel is impossible. In this case, we do not visit this location, but during the tour our instructor will do his best to catch the good weather and show you Teriberka.

Day 5 - A trip to the husky kennel. Departure home
The tour to the Kola Peninsula will end with a trip to the husky kennel. Here we can get a lot of positive emotions from communicating with these cute animals!
On the territory of the village, we will pet and cuddle friendly huskies, feed the reindeer.
The active part of the tour to the Kola Peninsula will be 1.5 km on foot.
15:00-16:00 – arrival at Murmansk airport, departure home.

The difficulty level of the route is moderate (90% of the route) and medium (10% of the route). The route is recommended for beginners and is an excursion with trekking elements. Trekking is walking through mountainous (rough) terrain.

On one of the days of the tour, there will be an ascent and descent of about 250 m (approximately like climbing 80 floors). The route runs along snowy trails and asphalt.

The tour is not difficult, we take people of different ages into the group.

sunglasses are required. On clear days, glasses protect the eyes from the sun's rays, which can burn the outer layers of the eye. Snow reflects up to 80% of the sun's rays. When sunlight reflects off snow, it becomes very bright and is accompanied by an intense glare that makes it difficult to look at.;

What a wonderful trip! In 5 days, we managed to do everything we had hoped for: visit a husky farm, hike up a mountain, explore Teriberka, spend time in Kirovsk, and finally witness the Northern Lights 😻✨ The North is absolutely breathtaking! The sea, the local cuisine, the friendly people, and the magical winter landscapes made this an unforgettable experience. We came away with so many amazing memories! It was definitely worth the trip, and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
