Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Murmansk. Hunting for the Northern Lights
Arrival in Murmansk.
We recommend arriving in Murmansk before 16:00 on the first day so that you can check into the hotel, relax and leave your things.
Airport transfer is not included in the tour price (as guests often arrive at different times). The cost of a Yandex Taxi to Murmansk is approximately 1000 rubles.
Welcome dinner at a restaurant in the center of Murmansk. Included in the price of the tour. We will try the Arctic cuisine and get to know the team.
Departure for a tour of the Northern Lights. The duration of the tour is 3-5 hours.
Photography is included in the price of the tour.
This Arctic Autumn program includes 2 trips to the Northern Lights without additional charges, which increases our chances of seeing it up to 98%!
The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, and no one can guarantee its appearance. If we do not see the northern lights during trips to the northern Lights, then there are no discounts and refunds.
How is the Northern Lights tour going:
The gathering of tourists takes place in the parking lot at the entrance to the Azimut hotel (in the center of Murmansk). Approximate time of the training camp: 20:00-22:00. The exact time and place of the training camp is announced by the coordinator the day before. Please do not be late and come 10 minutes before the start.
Let's go on tour! The duration of the "hunt" is 3-5 hours, depending on how quickly we find the starry sky. The most northern lights can appear at any moment!
Photography is included in the price of the tour. First, we will take group photos, then individual ones on a first-come, first-served basis.
To keep warm, you will be offered hot tea with light snacks (sweets, chocolate, cookies).
During the tour, the guide will tell you about the nature of the northern lights, and how it happens.
After the tour, you will be taken to your place of residence in Murmansk. The approximate time of return to Murmansk is 00:00-02:00 at night.
You will receive photos after the tour for 3-4 days after the end of the tour in the format of a link to Google Drive or Yandex Disk.

Day 2 - Excursion to the Sami village
Gathering at the entrance to the Azimut Hotel. Please do not be late and come 10 minutes before the start.
Departure to the ethnic Sami village (2.5 hours on the way).
Getting to know the reindeer. You will have the opportunity to take photos and videos with these wonderful animals.
Lunch in a cozy cafe with a northern flavor. Lunch includes salmon soup and venison with a side dish. Venison can be replaced with another dish by agreement.
A walk through the kennel and a personal acquaintance with the charming huskies.
Visit to the souvenir shop. You can buy souvenirs at your discretion.
Completion of the program and return to Murmansk.
Under favorable weather conditions, we go hunting for the northern lights. In total, 2 such trips are included in this tour.

Day 3 - A trip to the edge of the earth in Teriberka and a boat trip
We have breakfast and start to the Arctic village of Teriberka.
This is a trip to the very edge of the earth, then only to the North Pole.
The distance from Murmansk is 130 km, on the way we will stop in picturesque places to enjoy the amazing landscapes of the tundra.
In Teriberka, we will plunge into its special atmosphere and explore life on the edge of the world.
We will visit the famous cemetery of abandoned ships and the natural scenery for the movie "Leviathan", the throne from "Game of Thrones" and the heavenly swing.
Then we will go to the pier, where a boat will be waiting for us to search for whales.
We will sail on an exciting sea adventure, and if luck is with us, we will see whales (humpback whales, fin whales, minke whales are found), dolphins, killer whales and belugas.
If it is impossible to go to sea due to weather conditions, we will offer a replacement for the excursion program.
After a boat trip, we will enjoy the flavors of Arctic cuisine.
We have prepared a delicious lunch for you at the top restaurant in Teriberki – you do not need to pay anything, lunch is already included in the price of the tour.
Let's go for a walk on the outlandish Dragon Eggs beach with huge smooth stones resembling the eggs of huge animals.
We will reach the waterfall and admire the expanse and waves of the Barents Sea.
After Teriberka, we will return to Murmansk.
If the weather permits, we will go hunting for the northern lights in the evening, in total our program provides 2 such trips.

Day 4 - Murmansk City Tour
The hero city of Murmansk has been nicknamed the "gateway to the Arctic" for a reason.
Grandiose monuments, harsh landscapes — this amazing city offers endless opportunities for travelers.
The meeting of the guests will take place at the Azimut hotel, the coordinator will inform you about the exact time and place of the meeting the day before.
We will visit the main sights of Murmansk, first we will go to the marine station. We will tell you unknown facts about this place and take a walk through the main locations.
Let's see with our own eyes the Alyosha Memorial, a monument to the Defenders of the Soviet Arctic.
We will climb the Green Cape hill and enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the city.
The next stop is the memorial complex for sailors who died in peacetime. Here you can see the cabin of the Kursk submarine, the ship's anchor and the hexagonal lighthouse. It is an impressive combination of architecture and history that leaves an unforgettable impression.
After the tour, we will have a delicious lunch, this is another opportunity to enjoy a variety of natural, delicate flavors of the north, as well as communication with fellow travelers who have already become friends.
This is our final tour.
You can plan a flight for this day after 19:00, but you will not want to fly away — now the north will forever capture a part of your heart.

Offering a restaurant, Azimut Hotel is located in the center of Murmansk, right next to the Central Park and a 5-minute walk from the Central Stadium.

The rooms are decorated in bright colors and feature a minibar and a flat-screen TV with cable channels.

Blackout curtains are also provided. Each room has a private bathroom with a hairdryer and free toiletries.

At Azimut Hotel you will find a 24-hour front desk and a bar. The hotel also offers conference rooms, a tour desk and luggage storage.

This year, I finally fulfilled a dream of visiting the Arctic Circle! A friend and I chose a summer trip to the North: 'Whales, Teriberka and Waterfalls.' We booked through the tour operator 'Big Country' and were really pleased with the experience. In just four days, we collected so many incredible memories: we saw stunning waterfalls, learned fascinating facts about the unique tundra landscape, went on a whale-watching boat ride, took amazing photos at Dragon Egg Beach, visited an indigenous Sami house and enjoyed delicious traditional dishes. We were thrilled with the trip! Special thanks to our guide Victor, who shared so many interesting stories, answered all our questions and led the tour with real passion! We stayed at the Azimut Hotel, which was great. Everything was well-organized with no issues at all—I loved it all!
