Itinerary

Day 1 - Flight to Nyagan, Helipad – Grube-Yu River (405 km)
Arrival at the helipad in Nyagan (KhMAO-Yugra). It is from here that the expedition to the mountains of the Circumpolar Urals begins.

Flight over a distance of 400 km to the northwest, almost to the point where the Komi Republic, KhMAO and YANAO converge.

Unloading of the board is carried out directly by all participants of the expedition and should be carried out in the shortest possible time, no more than 3 minutes.
The helicopter is unloaded through the cargo door and the rear swing doors in accordance with the rules and safety regulations.

A picturesque clearing on the banks of the Grube River, adjacent to the spurs of the Narodo-Ityinsky ridge, where the base camp is organized, was chosen as the main site for the expedition's landing.
The time of the first day is spent setting up camp, relaxing after the flight and getting ready to hit the road.
The participants of the trip collectively erect prefabricated structures of a stationary camp for the placement of the group next to the river, in a large clearing, from where you can enjoy mountain views, listen to how the river is joking and the rifts are noisy, watch how the damp fog goes to the river valleys.
The location of the group is a huge flat clearing on the shore, not overgrown with trees — a very suitable choice for stationary accommodation.
There is a carpet of blueberries and dwarf birch underfoot.
Distribution of responsibilities. Each participant is a part of the team and is engaged in the arrangement of a stationary base camp, the establishment of conditions for individual life.
Responsibilities are distributed among all members of the group.
Collectively, through the efforts of the participants, reinforced technological tents and personal tents are being installed, firewood is being searched, harvested, a generator is being set up, a warehouse complex is being set up and everyday life is being arranged to organize comfortable conditions for travelers.
The arrangement. Upon arrival of the group, the chef, the guide and the participants are busy setting up and equipping the field kitchen.
All the main time on the day of the group's arrival in the mountains is spent setting up camp, relaxing and recovering from the flight, preparing for upcoming trips to the routes.
The expedition will be stationary here, the participants will set up a base camp. For a stationary camp, prefabricated reinforced closed tents are installed, inside one of which there is a mess room: a dining table, chairs, a storage complex for food and other camping and field supplies are installed.

Day 2 - Waterfall
Morning. Late rise. Individual morning tasks.
Hot breakfast (according to the menu).
A radial day training exit from the base camp along the Vorga Shore creek in order to visit and explore the large cascade waterfall, found quite recently, not mapped on any map.
For hiking trekking, only daylight hours are used, participants go on the route in the main general group.
Traveling in an unexplored area is very interesting and exciting. The northern places are difficult to access and the history here seems to be preserved.
During the one—day training outing, participants visit a clearing where traces of a relict hominoid (menkva - bigfoot) were found, then follow the second tributary of the Vorgashor stream and visit the most beautiful waterfall emerging from the cleavage sawn between the ridges to the base by the stream for thousands of years.
The participants move towards the mountains, overcoming a small taiga strip. The taiga terrain, which includes frequent forested areas, shrubs and pits, is combined with mountainous and mountainous tundra.
The waterfall includes several sections consisting of the main stream, cascades and floodplain baths. When exploring the surrounding area, participants need to be extremely careful, since the walls of the waterfall, ledges and rock outcrops are very slippery.
To move around this area, you must have special trekking shoes, a hiking raincoat in case of rain or thunderstorms, as well as a windproof windbreaker and trousers made of windproof material "wind stopper".
The ascent to the waterfall and the descent are quite steep, the legs get very tired. For descent, it is additionally recommended to have trekking poles to maintain balance when moving over rough terrain.
Every 40 minutes of walking, the team stops for short pauses of 5-10 minutes in order to regain strength.
Evening time of the day.
The chef with kitchen equipment and mobile tents is permanently located in the base camp and is in standby mode for the main group during the continuation of the group's day trip.
Arrival of the main group at the base camp, rest from training transitions, evening individual tasks, charging batteries for photo/video equipment. Preparation of ammunition for the upcoming radial exit to the Pyramid.
At the request of the team, a mobile sauna is installed and heated on the riverbank, the fuel for the bath is dry brushwood / driftwood / dry bush trunks from the nearest forest, in which you can collect dry bush trunks for a fire.
A hot dinner.
After examining the immediate surroundings during the day, getting used and acclimatized, trying their hand at hiking, early the next morning travelers plan a radial exit 6-7 km / 3 km in one direction to the Pyramid.

Day 3 - Pyramid

If the weather is suitable for mountain crossings, the group gathers for a one—day hike in the mountains.
For the main part of the group, there is a radial exit towards the Pyramid location.
After leaving the base camp, the group passes through a strip of dense forest and, climbing the nearest unnamed hill and a triangular pyramidal peak, comes out onto the char nameless ridges of the mountain tundra.
The distance from the Base Camp to the Pyramid along the upper reaches of the ridge is about 9 km.
To move around the mountain kurums, you need special trekking shoes, a hiking raincoat in case of rain or thunderstorms, as well as a windproof windbreaker and trousers made of windproof material "wind stopper".

Each member of the group should have personal protective equipment (a hunter's signal, firecrackers, a rocket launcher or a fake firework).
Lunch. A convenient location for the group is a plateau adjacent directly to the base of the pyramid.
At the Pyramid, for researchers who have devoted the entire daylight hours to radial exit, a lunch is provided pre-prepared and packaged by the chef, including expedition food: sandwiches, homemade snacks and taiga herbal tea or an individual diet (IRP).
After lunch, a research part is provided, which includes:
inspection of the area near the pyramid;
The active part is climbing to the top of the Pyramid;
photo shoots;
video shooting.
After climbing the pyramid, the participants of the trip have the opportunity to independently explore and explore the area adjacent to the pyramid — a beautiful plateau that had a cult significance in ancient times.
Very peculiar objects are located on the plateau, which most likely served as a site for rituals in ancient times:
A menhir is a vertically mounted stone, wedged on both sides, which was used, apparently, as a security sign;
horizontally positioned plate;
two huge plates oriented to the east — all these objects require further study and research.
The time spent at the Pyramid is determined by the group members themselves.
After the survey and research part, the group returns to the base camp.
All movements are carried out only during daylight hours, so it is extremely important to arrive at the base camp before dark.

Day 4 - A day's rest. Fishing, recreation, mountain lake, sauna.

Leisurely breakfast (according to the menu) at the base camp on the banks of the Grube-Yu River.
On a day of rest, travelers can enjoy fishing, a sauna, a hot measured lunch and dinner.
On the banks of the Grube-Yu River, a mobile bathhouse with a poshekhonka stove and an expansion tank for heating and supplying hot water is being installed.
In accordance with the menu option chosen by the group, the chef treats the participants of the trip with a variety of restaurant dishes.
While enjoying their holidays, the fishermen present in the expedition have a unique opportunity to fish in the mountain glacial river Grube-Yu and catch grayling — the purest fish that lives only in the upper reaches.
During the preparation of lunch / dinner and a sauna, in suitable weather, for the most active travelers there is an opportunity to visit a picturesque mountain lake located at an altitude of more than 400 m.
In the afternoon, participants, if desired, organize a sauna on the riverbank with dipping into the icy river water.

Day 5 - Two-day route with overnight stay in the mountains
Early morning. Lift. Individual morning tasks. Hot breakfast at the base camp (according to the menu).
Depending on the level of training of the group, it is possible to take a 2-day trip to the upper reaches of the Grube-Yu River to the foot of the Ural Ridge through mountain lakes, gorges, waterfalls and mountain picturesque circuses to an unnamed plateau resembling the Putorana plateau in miniature, at the foot of which there is a very unusual round lake.
With the setting up of a mobile tent camp and accommodation in camping conditions on the banks of the Grube River. If the weather is suitable for mountain crossings, the group gathers for a two—day hike in the mountains.
Trekking participants carry personal and general ammunition (lightweight sleeping bags, mountain tents, IRP, other personal belongings) on their own.
Trekking poles, trekking shoes, as well as a hiking raincoat in case of rain or thunderstorms are required for cross-country travel.
Participants must have personal mountain tents, hiking mats and lightweight sleeping bags.
Those who decide on this hike will see a panorama of the Main Ural ridge with its snowy peaks, deep gorges, cascading waterfalls, kurums, rocky, alpine and wooded slopes.
The duration of the daytime trekking: 8-12 hours of measured movement with short stops for rest and photo shoots and an hour break for lunch.
An intermediate camp with a bonfire for lunch is provided during the daytime.
For active participants of the trip, it is recommended to visit several inaccessible mountain lakes — making a circular route with a detour along the upper part of the ridge adjacent to the dominant height of Ambar-Iz and traverse to the cascading waterfalls in the upper reaches of the unnamed streams of the Grube-Yu River, admire the views, take memorable photos, explore the area.
The first, initial part of the route thread from the base camp is laid along the Ambarshor creek and its tributaries with further access to the flat mountain-tundra part of the ridge and runs towards the Voity lakes.
There are short stops every 40 minutes.
The group stops for lunch at the foot of the Ambar-Iz mountain (884.3m). There are beautiful and very unusual rock remnants everywhere — single hills — "guards" (Maniuki, as the local population calls them), possibly related to cult rituals.
Travelers are moving along the Voivis Creek in a westerly direction.
On the flat plateau part, in the mountain tundra, at an altitude of more than 600 m from sea level, there are beautiful mountainous and very deep Voity lakes (translated from the Khanty language — Beast), which require further research.
When descending into the valley of the Voivis Creek, which flows from Lake Voity and other unnamed lakes, a swampy area begins, since the soil is saturated with moisture.
The approximate distance to the lakes from the base camp is 10-12 km of rough terrain.
The water in Voity Lake is crystal clear, there are fish.
Depending on the general level of training of the group, the participants of the trip independently determine the distance of the day's journey, organize a night mobile camp around the campfire, dinner.
For travelers who went on a two-day hike, camping meals are provided, packaged in an IRP (individual diet), the main diet of which consists of high-calorie freeze-dried foods, canned cereals, pates, protein bars, cookies, pickles, lard and other expedition, nutritious and restorative products.
There is no possibility of making bonfires in the tundra area, and therefore gas burners and lightweight gas cylinders are used for cooking on foot.
At the end of daylight hours, the group settles down for the night in a mobile tent camp.
The mobile camp is set up collectively, by the general staff of the team.
Gas burners and cylinders with gas as fuel are used to heat up food.

Day 6 - The second day of the two-day route

Camping breakfast. Mobile camp fees, packing of personal tents, sleeping bags and other ammunition.
On the second day of the continuation of the ring exit, participants will have the main, more difficult, most picturesque part of the route, which requires a traverse of height 786 adjacent to the extreme western unnamed lake.
Participants will descend into the canyon, along the gorge of which the waters of an unnamed stream are rushing rapidly, forming beautiful cascading waterfalls with emerald-blue baths.
Travelers can meet bears, reindeer, moose and other wild animals, and personal protective equipment is required.
The canyon with waterfalls is very picturesque, participants should be careful when walking along the stream at the bottom of the gorge.
The path runs along the shore along the riverbed of the Rough, placers are wedged deeper into the slopes of dilapidated rocks.
The participants move down the gorge.
There are two beautiful lakes in the breakup, and on the stream itself there are stunning waterfalls under delicate snow bridges. There are two picturesque natural attractions ahead, which are of course the main purpose of the two-day route, they must be visited.
This is a mountainous, completely round lake and plateau, in its miniature resembling the world-famous Putorana plateau, the slopes of which are dotted with long couloirs with wide troughs.
With a spinning rod or fly fishing gear, fishermen can enjoy fishing for the purest fish living in glacial water.
From the Voity Lakes to the Round Lake is about 7.5-8 km.
Here the group makes a short break, stopping for a photo/video session and a lunch snack.
The participants will have to descend downstream to the base camp and the travelers will determine the place of stopping for a hot lunch independently, depending on their travel schedule.
The way back to the base camp runs along the riverbank.
From the round lake to the base camp is about 13 km downstream.
The group walks along the shore, in some places wading across the river, in which the water runs talkatively through shivers and rifts, or flows calmly forming small reaches and rapids.
Short rest stops are mandatory and regulated by the movement along the route every 40-50 minutes.
After long marches, where there were steep ascents and long descents, rocky and snowy slopes, a group of tourists follows the Grube-Yu River and goes out to the base camp.
The evening time of the day. Arrival of the main group at the base camp, rest from the tedious 2-day marches.
Upon returning to the base camp, a hot festive dinner is organized in honor of the travelers.

Day 7 - A reserve day. Rest. Fishing. Bathhouse.

Day 8 - Return flight. Return to civilization
