14:00 Departure for the route.
We will devote the first hour and a half to learning how to ride a snowmobile.
We reach the snow-covered fields along dense rolled paths.
The open areas are an ideal place to get the initial skills of movement in the virgin snow — turns, U-turns, overcoming a steep slope and digging a snowmobile.
Analysis of the main mistakes, a little rest and go on the main route.
Main sights:
- The estate of grandma Ustinya (village of Nizhny Selo) is a restored wooden house, which is 170 years old! Everything in the house is made as in the old days: on the territory of winter sleighs, anchors, wooden wheels, sundresses, real cannonballs, antique spinning wheels, rockers, Russian stoves, etc.
- The village of Kamenka is one of the oldest settlements on Chusovaya and was in the XVI century the eastern outpost of the Stroganov possessions (outpost). Mysterious wooden buildings rise on the edge of the village: fortress towers and an unfinished wooden church. These are the decorations for the feature film "Semyon Dezhnev", which recreate the supposed appearance of an ancient prison.
- The Shaitan stone is a beautiful rock (30 m high), dotted with vertical slits. Usually, the toponym "Shaitan" (translated from Turkic: "evil spirit", "devil") Tatars and Bashkirs called the area that was sacred to the Mansi who lived here in the past.
- St. George's Church. Many consider it the most beautiful in the Urals. It is unusual in that it stands right on a cliff, above the river. Nearby there is a wooden pedestrian bridge connecting two parts of the village. There is a small cave in the rock under the church, which can only be accessed in winter. There are beautiful limestone cliffs in the immediate vicinity. A little downstream, on the left bank, the rocks of the "Dog Rib" rise. But perhaps the most picturesque rock in this part of Chusovaya is the St. George Stone. There was a small wooden chapel with an icon of St. George on it, which gave the name to this rock.
18:00-19:00 Return to the country club.
19:00 We arrive at the recreation center, change into dry clothes and go to the kitchen-dining room.
Hot tea on arrival and an exchange of impressions.
Next, there will be a hearty dinner and a sauna on birch firewood (paid separately).
Our guides can tell you some more interesting facts about these places.
The history of the river is closely intertwined with the stages of the development of metallurgy in the Urals, as well as with the legends and traditions of the peoples who have lived here since ancient times. Overnight at the country club.
The length of the daily snowmobile route is 50-60 km.
