Day 1 - Acquaintance with Izhevsk, a master class on modeling dumplings
11:40 a.m. (local time) – arrival of the train at Izhevsk Railway Station. A solemn meeting of the tour participants on the station platform.
Possible flight option: IZH302 Moscow (8:40) – Izhevsk (11:30) from Domodedovo and joining the group!
12:30-14:30 Lunch and a master class on dumpling modeling in a restaurant in the city. The lunch is presented with dishes of national Udmurt cuisine in a modern interpretation.
14:30-16:30 Sightseeing tour of Izhevsk– the capital of Udmurtia.
During a sightseeing tour of Izhevsk, the group learns about the history of the factory city, which today is called the Weapons Capital of Russia. You will see:
Monument of Friendship of Peoples;
Izhevsk Pond embankment;
Tsar cannon;
St. Michael's Cathedral.
17:00 Accommodation at the Cosmos Izhevsk 4* Hotel, an international hotel in the very center of Izhevsk, the capital of Udmurtia.

Day 2 - Sarapul gastronomic tour, guided tours and merchant lunch
07:00-09:30 Buffet breakfast in the hotel restaurant.

10:00 Transfer to Sarapul (50 km from Izhevsk). Our gastronomic tour to Sarapul is a real pleasure for connoisseurs of amazing stories and delicious adventures!
It will be an introduction to the merchant county town and its cuisine.
A small old and colorful town on the Kama River, Sarapul, became famous for the fact that it was here that the cavalryman Nadezhda Durova, Kutuzov's personal medal bearer during the war of 1812, the prototype of the heroine of the famous "Hussar Ballad", grew up.
The recipes of merchant dinners, which lasted for 9 hours, have been preserved here.

tea drinking in a Merchant's tea shop at the cottage of Pavel Andreevich Bashenin, the Head of Sarapul. Stories of the Bashenin family, traditions of hosting guests, herbal tea, Sarapul gingerbread;
tour of the Dacha Bashenina Art and Exhibition complex;
guided tour of the historical center and Museum quarter of the city;
a walk along the Sarapula embankment and amazing keepsake photos with a view of the Kama River.
14:00-15:00 Merchant lunch at the Sarapula restaurant based on restored recipes of the 19th century.
15:00 Transfer to Izhevsk to the hotel.

Day 3 - Varangian Squad, a theatrical tour of the Tchaikovsky Museum-Estate and a walk around Votkinsk

09:00 Departure from the hotel and transfer to Votkinsk (60 km. from Izhevsk).

10:00-15:00. In the program:
The Varangian Druzhina tourist complex and its owners, Nikolai and Olga Sergeev, welcome guests, introduce them to the customs and traditions of the Middle Ages, treat them to tortillas according to an old family recipe, share the secrets of a large family with four children and plans for the annual Rus Druzhinnaya Historical Reconstruction Festival;
theatrical tour of the Tchaikovsky Museum-Estate "Sweet Memories". With the owner of the estate, Alexandra Andreevna Tchaikovsky, we will walk through the rooms of the master's house, adopt the basics of 19th-century etiquette, and get acquainted with the customs of hospitality in the Tchaikovsky family.;
walk along the embankment of Votkinsky pond, which became the prototype of the famous Swan Lake;
Keepsake photos in Vysotsky Square;
lunch at a cafe in the city.
16:00 Transfer to Izhevsk railway station. The end of the excursion program.

Cosmos Izhevsk Hotel is located in the Oktyabrsky district of Izhevsk. Rooms of different comfort levels are available, but each one has beds, a TV, a safe and a split system, as well as its own work area and Internet access. The bathroom has a hairdryer, slippers and towels with personal hygiene items.

A kettle and tea with coffee are provided, and you can eat during the day at The on-site The Taste restaurant, which offers a wide range of dishes. There is also a Brauplatz restaurant with its own brewery.
