Sightseeing tour of Izhevsk — the “armory capital” Of Russia.

You will see the Tsar Cannon, a copy of the one in the Moscow Kremlin; you will learn why there is a monument to a crocodile in Izhevsk and why the monument to Friendship of Peoples is informally called “Kulakova Ski”.  

Among the most famous sights of the city are St. Michael's Cathedral, one of the most beautiful temples in Russia, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the building of the new circus, the zoo, the architectural ensemble of the Residence of the Head of Udmurtia and the Armourers Square. 

Transfer to the Ludorvay Museum-Reserve.

Ludorvay Architectural and Ethnographic Museum-Reserve.

A visit to this unique open-air museum-reserve will most clearly demonstrate the main aspects of the Udmurt material culture. 

The estates of the northern, central and southern Udmurts are located on the territory of the museum. The Besermyan manor, one of the most mysterious peoples of Russia, is also located here. 

Not far from them are the houses of the Russian settlement "Ilyinka". The highlight of the reserve is a century-old windmill, brought here from the south of Udmurtia.

The M.T. Kalashnikov Museum and Exhibition Complex.

The main character of the museum narrative, Mikhail Timofeevich Kalashnikov, is a kind of "starting point" from which the story of Izhevsk as one of the most important centers of Russian weapons culture is conducted. 

All five generations of Kalashnikov family weapons were born at the Izhmash plant in a special design bureau. 

Mikhail Timofeevich lived here for the rest of his life, becoming an honorary citizen of Izhevsk and the Udmurt Republic. The main exposition of the museum presents the national history, a retrospective of the production and new developments of small arms.

Transfer to Bachkeevo.

The museum "Staging point" in the village of Bachkeevo.

The building, which has housed the Landmark Museum since 2004, was built in 1837 and has never been renovated over the years. Today, the museum "Milestone point" is a cultural and historical object of the excursion and tourist route "Siberian Tract — the road through the ages". 

The most realistic atmosphere of the plight of exiled prisoners is recreated here: four gloomy cells, shackles, bast shoes, a cauldron for cooking prison food, a cart in which prisoners were transported.

Transfer to the village of Sundur.

The village of Sundur.

Sundur is one of the most colorful centers of Udmurt culture. Lopsho Pedun, a merry man and buffoon, lives here and greets guests — the hero of the legend about a man with a broad and kind soul who knows how to support in a difficult moment and protect from offenders with a well-aimed word. 

You will find an entertainment program and treats at the Udmurt manor, as well as a photo with Lopsho Pedun as a souvenir — as a gift!

Moving into the Game.

Udmurtia is the Homeland of dumplings! The fact that the shock freezing by cold of one of the most popular products among Russians appeared on the Siberian tract does not require proof. 

It was in Udmurtia that the tradition of celebrating World Dumpling Day appeared. It was the Igrinsky district of Udmurtia that became the founder of this tradition.  You will have a national lunch with a tasting of dumplings, baked goods and jam!

Transfer to Votkinsk.

Visit to the Tchaikovsky Estate Museum.

We will spend this day of the tour in the Homeland of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.  

We will visit the Museum-estate — the place where he was born and grew up, inspect the complex of buildings, completely restored in 1980, get acquainted with the basics of noble education and traditions of hospitality in the Tchaikovsky family, and also walk along the embankment of Votkinsky Pond, which became the prototype of the famous Swan Lake.

Sightseeing tour of Votkinsk.

Votkinsk is a small town founded in 1759 in connection with the construction of an ironworks. Mining engineer Ilya Petrovich Tchaikovsky, the father of the great Russian composer, who worked as a production manager from 1837 to 1848, played a significant role in the development of the city. 

In the zarechnaya part of the city, opposite the factory, there are residential areas where an interesting wooden building has been preserved. We will also visit the Monument to the Anchor, the Votkinsk Dam, the Monument to P.I. Tchaikovsky and V.S. Vysotsky, the Annunciation Cathedral and the Panteleimon Church.

Transfer to Italmas village.

The museum of Galina Kulakova in the village of Italmas.

We will visit the museum of the living legend of Soviet sports — 4-time Olympic and 9-time world champion in skiing — Galina Alekseevna Kulakova.

The Museum of Sports Glory exhibits hundreds of medals, cups and pennants. Galina Alekseevna also recreated a part of her parents' house in the museum — with a wrought-iron chest, in which her mother put her dowry, and homespun rugs.

Return to Izhevsk.

On this day of the tour, there are two possible program options: in the first you will visit the village of Buranovo – the birthplace of the famous Buranov grandmothers and the Karamas-Pelga cultural center, and in the second you will see a unique place of power — Zuev Keys and meet with the inhabitants of the ancient village of Nyrgynda.

Visit to the Buranovsky Grandmothers Museum.

There are places in our country that no one has ever heard of except their residents. But as soon as some event happens in it or famous personalities come from there, this place becomes famous all over Russia overnight. 

This is exactly the fate that fate has prepared for the tiny Udmurt village of Buranovo with a population of only 658 people. Buranovsky Grandmothers, already famous all over the world, were born here and began their singing career. The folklore group took the honorable second place at the international music contest "Eurovision-2012".

Transfer to Karamas Pelga.

Karamas-Pelga Ethnocultural Center.

Karamas–Pelga is one of the unique places in Russia, which has preserved to this day the pagan traditions of the indigenous Udmurt people. The locals, famous for their hospitality, will show you the local pagan shrines. 

Here, as in ancient times, they believe in Inmar, the spirits of water and forests, and conduct mysterious rituals. The center of Udmurt culture throws a bridge from the modern world to the mysterious esoteric past. 

You will be shown unique collections of household items and architectural monuments of the Udmurt people, traditions and rituals will be demonstrated.

Transfer to the Zuev Keys.

A visit to the Zuyev keys.

The panorama that opens at the entrance to the village is breathtaking, because here the Kama spreads almost to the horizon. In addition, it is the southernmost point of Udmurtia.

During the tour, you will be able to get acquainted with such a famous sacred place as the Zuyev Keys, along with its Holy and Dead Keys. 

This is perhaps the most significant place of power of the "Spring Region". This region is covered with mysterious legends and stories: about the Mari Prince Toktai and the fire-worshipper Zarathustra, about Hungarians and Iranians, about the Chegandin caves and Gurka the robber… 

Transfer to the village of Nyrgynda.

The village of Nyrgynda is one of the first settlements of the meadow Mari in the territory of modern Udmurtia. They came here in search of a new home after the capture of Kazan by Ivan the Terrible and the annexation of the Mari Territory to the Russian state. 

Promoting the traditional Mari culture, the villagers conduct master classes on national dances and traditional culture, prepare Mari national dishes, and show the ritual actions of folk festivals. 

Guests will be treated to traditional dishes and taught national dances, they can try on a Mari costume and take pictures.

Transfer to Sarapul.

Acquaintance with the merchant's county town. 

Sarapul is one of the oldest cities in the Kama region. Due to its rich architectural heritage, it can rightfully be called "Udmurt Suzdal". 

And its rich history makes it one of the most attractive places not only in Udmurtia, but also in Russia. N.A. Durova, A.I. Palshina, A. Einstein, A. Pankratov-Cherny, L. Orlova and many others are associated with this city on the Kama River.

Visit to the Bashenin Cottage.

Bashenin's cottage is one of the most beautiful buildings in Sarapul, carefully preserving the cultural heritage of bygone eras. The owner of this atmospheric merchant mansion was a merchant, mayor P.A. Bashenin, who made a significant contribution to the development of Sarapul.
