Itinerary

Day 1 - Hello, Ulyanovsk — the land of crystals and ancient lizards
Meeting guests at the railway station.
9:30 a.m. Breakfast. A hearty breakfast will give you strength before the start of the day of sightseeing.
10:00 Transfer with guided tour to the village of Undory
11:00-12:00 Visit to the geopark "Undoria" — the Undorovsky Paleontological Museum — the first museum in the Volga region and Russia on the unique location of ancient marine lizards of the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods.
You will learn about the inhabitants of the depths of the ancient sea, which existed on the territory of the geopark in the era of the marine Mesozoic more than 100 million years ago.
You will find amazing finds — the remains of giant marine reptiles and representatives of the glacial epochs — the mammoth and its contemporaries.
Here you will get acquainted with the Volga amber: simbirzite and sengilite.
12:00-13:00 Walk to the bank of the Volga River (under favorable weather conditions) Along a special route, you can see where ancient marine reptiles were found and even find their footprints on the rocks or the fossils themselves!
Excursion to the spring. The area of the village of Undory is rich in mineral springs, known since the 19th century.

13:30-14:30 Lunch from the oven in a fabulous atmosphere of rustic relaxation in the best traditions of our ancestors on a guest farm.
If desired, you can walk around the farm and get acquainted with the mini-farm.
14:30-15:30 Transfer to Ulyanovsk.
15:30-16:30 Visit to Russia's only "Simbirzite Hall" of the Simbirzite museum — salon — "Ammond".
In the museum you can see the newest and most interesting exhibits — colorful products made of a unique stone — simbirzite, which has various shades of yellow, with thin veins and crystals of pyrite formed in the voids of ancient shells of cephalopods — ammonites, which has a deposit in the Ulyanovsk region.
Here you can see interior items, jewelry, lithotherapy products, gift sets and souvenirs made of simbirzite.
The unique art object "Simbirtzite Hall", decorated with mosaics of "Volga amber" in various shades, will delight with its beauty and the scale of the artists' work.
16:30-19:00 Sightseeing tour of modern streets and the historical center of the city with a walking tour along the highest Volga Crown — the embankment of Ulyanovsk-Simbirsk, where during the tour we will be able to take a selfie with the most interesting monuments of the city of Ulyanovsk and even with the largest "shell" — with a unique monument to "Volga amber" — simbirzite!

Day 2 - Travel to Bulgaria

09:30-11:30 Transfer with guided tour to Bolgar.
On the border of the Ulyanovsk region and the Republic of Tatarstan there is a city that is one of the tourist gems of modern Tatarstan — it is a historical and architectural reserve of one of the most important cities of the medieval Volga state "Volga Bulgaria" - the city of Bulgar (Bolgar).
The historical and architectural reserve is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. There were settlements of the Neolithic, Bronze and Iron Ages.
And here the main city of the powerful Volga Bulgaria developed, which became a major trading platform between Ancient Russia and the East, and after the conquest by the Golden Horde became the capital of the Northern Ulus.
11:30-16:00 Visit to the Bulgarian Museum-Reserve.

Here visitors will get acquainted with the rich history and culture of Volga Bulgaria from the time of the emergence of the state in the 10th century until its decline in the early 15th century.
The halls of the museum contain authentic archaeological material obtained during archaeological research of the settlement, architectural monuments of the XIII -XIV century will be able to see: "Cathedral Mosque", "Northern Mausoleum", "Eastern Mausoleum", "Khan's Palace".
