You will be immersed in the world of antiquity in the geopark of Undoria, the location of the mammoth and marine lizards of the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Meeting. A trip to Bulgaria

Sightseeing bus tour - exploring the city on the Volga.
10:00 Transfer with guided tour to Bolgar.
On the border of the Ulyanovsk region and the Republic of Tatarstan there is a city that is one of the tourist gems of modern Tatarstan — it is a historical and architectural reserve of one of the most important cities of the medieval state of the Volga region "Volga Bulgaria" - the city of Bulgar (Bolgar).
The historical and architectural reserve is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. There were settlements of the Neolithic, Bronze and Iron Ages.
And here the main city of the mighty Volga Bulgaria developed, which became a major trading platform between Ancient Russia and the East, and after the conquest by the Golden Horde became the capital of the Northern Ulus.
12:00 Visit to the Bulgarian Museum-Reserve.
Visit to the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization and the Bulgarian Hillfort.
Here, visitors will get acquainted with the rich history and culture of Volga Bulgaria from the time of the emergence of the state in the 10th century to its decline in the early 15th century.
The museum's halls contain authentic archaeological material obtained during archaeological research of the settlement, and visitors can see architectural monuments of the 13th-14th centuries: the Cathedral Mosque, the Northern Mausoleum, the Eastern Mausoleum, and the Khan's Palace.
Lunch.
Free time to visit souvenir shops.
Visit to the White Mosque in Bolgar.
The snow-white architectural ensemble with elegant minarets and domes, lined with Italian marble, is compared in elegance to the Taj Mahal.
In the center of the complex is a cozy courtyard with a marble fountain, where silence and harmony set up a special mood. Under different lighting conditions, the mosque changes its appearance: at dawn it glows pink, during the day it shines white, and at sunset it glows golden.

11:00-11:00 Visit to the Undoria Geopark, the Undor Paleontological Museum, the first museum in the Volga region and Russia dedicated to the unique location of ancient marine lizards of the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods.
You will learn about the inhabitants of the depths of the ancient sea, which existed on the territory of the geopark in the era of the marine Mesozoic more than 100 million years ago.
Amazing finds await you — the remains of giant marine reptiles and representatives of the glacial epochs — the mammoth and its contemporaries.
Here you will get acquainted with the Volga amber: simbircite and sengilite.
11:00-12:30 Walk to the bank of the Volga River (under favorable weather conditions) Along a special route, you can see where ancient marine reptiles were found and even find their footprints on rocks or the fossils themselves!
Excursion to the spring. The area of the village of Undory is rich in mineral springs, known since the 19th century.

14.30-15:30 Transfer to Ulyanovsk.
15:30-16:30 Visit to Russia's only "Simbirzite hall" of the museum — salon "Simbirzite" — "Ammond".
In the museum you can see the newest and most interesting exhibits — colorful products made of a unique stone — simbirzite, which has various shades of yellow, with fine veins and crystals of pyrite formed in the voids of ancient shells of cephalopods — ammonites, which has a deposit in the Ulyanovsk region.
Here you can see interior items, jewelry, lithotherapy products, gift sets and souvenirs made of simbirzite.
The unique art object "Simbirtsitovaya Hall", decorated with mosaics of "Volga amber" in various shades, will delight with its beauty and the scale of the artists' work.
16:30-19:00 Walking sightseeing tour "Four centuries of the Volga Crown".
A walk along the highest Volga Crown — the embankment of Ulyanovsk- Simbirsk, where during the tour we will be able to take selfies with the most interesting monuments of the city of Ulyanovsk.
Free time for shopping on the road.
19:00-19:30 Transfer to the railway station.
