Day 1 - Sightseeing tour of Tver. Tver brewery "Afanasy"
08:00 Gathering of the group in Moscow: VDNKh metro station, parking lot to the right of the Kosmos Hotel.
08:15 Departure to Tver.
Sightseeing tour of Tver. Tver is an ancient city on the Volga River. The city center is decorated with magnificent historical buildings in the classical style. Tver is interesting for its amazing combination of ancient history and modern modern trends.
The tour includes a tour of the most important sights of the city:
The Transfiguration Cathedral is the main shrine of the Tver land. The first temple in Russia, built after the Mongol-Tatar invasion;
the embankment of Stepan Razin. A beautiful embankment, built on the principle of a single facade, following the example of St. Petersburg;
The famous Tver "Three Beams" is the main part of the city, preserved since the XVIII century, unique in its layout: it is similar to the Roman, Versailles and St. Petersburg;
The Imperial Traveling Palace (external inspection) is an architectural monument of the XVIII century. The palace was intended for the recreation of members of the imperial family on their way from St. Petersburg to Moscow.
Lunch at a cafe in the city.
Excursion to the current production facility – Afanasy brewery. During the tour, you can see with your own eyes how real live beer is brewed, which has become a symbol of the Tver land. Visit the brewhouse, the water filtration department, the bottling line and the malt production plant.
The tour will end with a tasting, which is a great opportunity to taste beer and other Afanasy Holding products.
Please note: the tour has an age limit of 18+. Visitors under the age of 18 are allowed only with the permission of their parents and accompanied by them. Farm products (for example, goat yogurt and cranberries in sugar) are used as a substitute for alcohol.
Accommodation at the Governor 3* hotel, one of the best in Tver. Rooms of the "Standard Attic" category. The Governor's building is one of the preserved architectural examples of the distant eighteenth century.

Day 2 - Sightseeing tour of Torzhok. Gastronomic tour
10:00 am Brunch in the hotel restaurant.
Departure to Torzhok.
Sightseeing tour of Torzhok— an ancient city founded by Novgorod merchants at the turn of the 10th-11th centuries. Its streets still preserve the spirit of pre-revolutionary Russia of the 19th century.
The main reason for coming here is the special flavor of the Old Russian provincial town, which Torzhok has preserved through the centuries.
Sightseeing of important attractions:
Borisoglebsky monastery, founded in 1038, it is called one of the most ancient, created earlier by the famous Kiev Pechersk Lavra.;
The 17th—century Vvedenskaya Church is part of the Borisoglebsky Monastery complex, the oldest surviving one in Torzhok. Current version;
monument to Ephraim of Novotorzhsky, the patron saint of the city and the founder of the Borisoglebsky Monastery;
The Transfiguration Cathedral — Temple is "jokingly" called the "piece of St. Isaac." The main architectural dominant of Torzhok, welcoming everyone who comes to the city with its splendor;
shopping area and the embankment of the Tvertsa river. The main tourist points of Torzhok. The embankment offers a magnificent view of the Borisoglebsky Monastery.
During the tour, we will tell you about the most popular hotel of the 19th century, the Pozharsky Hotel, which presented famous cutlets to Russian cuisine: everyone, from Pushkin to Aksakov, considered it his duty to try them. A delicious and interesting page of the city's history.
We are going to the Italian cheese farm La Fattoria Little Italy, the oldest agrotouristic enterprise in Russia, founded in 1999.
For more than 20 years, natural products have been made here according to ancient Italian recipes passed down from generation to generation in the Mazza family of owners, who are very happy to introduce guests to the culture of healthy eating "in Italian".
Gastronomic tour at the Italian cheese farm "La fattoria Little Italy" with tasting of 8 types of natural cheeses (burrata, butyrro, mozzarella, ricotta, etc.) and a traditional Italian lunch (the menu is approximate, the restaurant reserves the right to make changes to it):
first course: lasagna alla bolognese (pasta lasagna sheets, beef, mozzarella cheese, tomato, spices);
second course: polpetta (beef, parmesanino cheese, provola cheese, sauce, spices), side dish;
Dessert: two Italian farm desserts;

Free time to visit the local cheese shop and souvenir shop.
Return to Tver.

Day 3 - Staritsa and Rzhev

Departure to Staritsa.
Staritsa is a small town on the Volga River, which holds a great history and many secrets. It is a storehouse of numerous churches and cathedrals with unique architecture.
Sightseeing of the Staritsky Holy Dormition Monastery– the favorite of Ivan the Terrible! Ancient churches and cathedrals dating back to the 16th and 19th centuries have been preserved on its territory. This corner of the Volga Region impresses with its immediate charm and the peculiarities of the Orthodox architecture of Ancient Russia.
Transfer to Rzhev. The glorious city of Rzhev, the first along the Volga, was founded in the 11th century. The city played a special role during the Great Patriotic War, and today it bears the honorary title of "City of Military Glory."
Lunch in a cafe in the city, for dessert – delicious Rye gingerbread.
Sightseeing tour of Rzhev. Admire the rare, miraculously preserved monuments of the "pre—war" Rzhev - the house of the Obraztsov merchants, the State Bank building, and see the oldest Okovetsky Cathedral with the miraculous icon of the Mother of God of Okovetskaya.
And also the Old Believers Church of the Intercession, which was not closed either under Soviet rule or during the German occupation.
Visit the grandiose Rzhev Memorial, the largest in Europe (25 meters). The figure of a soldier hovers over a hill, evoking Rasul Gamzatov's lines about the fallen soldiers who "turned into white cranes."
Departure to Moscow.

Many thanks to “Big Country” for this wonderful tour. The entire trip was organized exceptionally well: the hotels, meals, and transportation were all excellent. But the real highlight of the journey was our tour guide, Denis!!! Honestly, without him the trip would not have been nearly as memorable. Visiting so many churches and historical sites without meaningful context would have quickly become monotonous. Most of the local guides simply rushed through the program with dry facts and dates, almost like a school lecture. Denis, however, made everything come alive. Even before we arrived at each destination, he was already sharing fascinating stories and background information on the bus, which helped us appreciate the places so much more once we got there. Not a single person was late for the bus in the mornings! Everyone was eager not to miss his stories!!! He has an incredible knowledge of the history and geography of the region, and he could make even the scenery outside the window interesting!!! Listening to him never felt tiring because he spoke with such enthusiasm and passion!!! For the last two days we had a different guide, and the contrast was huge - unfortunately, it just wasn’t engaging at all. To sum it up: excellent organization, comfortable travel conditions, and an outstanding guide like Denis made this trip truly special!!! I only wish there were more professionals like him.
