The Hopper is the largest left tributary of the Don. According to UNESCO, the Hopper is recognized as the cleanest river in Europe. The river valley is clothed with deciduous forests, pine groves are found on high steep banks. On this section of the river, the area through which the Hopper flows is hilly and picturesque. The shores are indented by ravines, turning into large beaches at bends. There are many species of fish in the river: walleye, ide, chehon, catfish, pike, perch, bream, crucian carp. The unique nature has made the Hopper a favorite place for tourists.
