Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Yakutsk — Lena Pillars

    ±08:30 Gathering of participants from their place of residence.

    Departure from Yakutsk.

    At the exit from the city, stop at a store for joint purchase of food.

    Travel to the village of Bulgunnyakhtakh, 115 km, 1.5 hours.

    Transfer to the boat.

    River walk to Lena Pillars National Park, 80 km, 2.5 hours, with a tour of the Toyon-Ary fault (with a waterfall after the rains), the Ulakhan-Ana petroglyph, grottos and ancient drawings of the Elan rocks.

    On the big water, it is possible to drive to the Keteme River to explore the stone banks and caves.

    Arrival at Lena pillars near the mouth of Labydya.

    Free time, climb to the observation deck along a 2-km equipped trail with intermediate recreation areas.

    Passage to the opposite shore to the village of Batamai, 3 km.

    Accommodation at the campsite (not included in the price of the tour).

    It's time for an afternoon snack.

    In the evening, an additional passage along the Lena Pillars is at sunset.

    It's time for dinner.

It's important to know

Personal equipment you need for the tour
  • windproof jackets, warm sweaters/sweaters/blankets (for staying on the river);
  • closed trousers (for staying on the river and climbing to the observation deck of the Lena Pillars and Blue parks);
  • anti–mosquito products (for going out into the forest, climbing to the observation deck of the park - relevant in June and early July). Mosquito and midge repellents (not relevant in late August and September);
  • a SIM card from the MTS/Beeline operator for calls and Internet access (EDGE/3G) from the park and settlements. MegaFon's communications in the Lena Pillars area are unstable. Tele2 does not work in Yakutia;
  • headdress (in case of hot days, rain, etc.);
  • a headdress with a mosquito net (for a long stay in the forest) (not relevant at the end of August and September);
  • head lamp (optional on dark nights, just in case);
  • fleece sweater;
  • mosquito and midge repellents (not relevant in late August and September);
  • down jacket-"stogrammovka" (it's damp, it can be +5 in the evenings/nights by the river...+6°C);
  • a waterproof jacket with a hood or a raincoat (in case of rain or when traveling along rivers (splashing may get wet in strong winds);
  • waterproof trousers;
  • trekking sneakers / boots (in other words, comfortable shoes so as not to slip or stumble on the stone shore/surface and wooden stairs, the shore in the park and on the Blue Rocky river);
  • spare sets of socks/T-shirts/etc.
