Therefore, the interest in conquering the North and South Poles, taking Mount Everest, and the Sahara Desert continues unabated. But, only a few can boast of conquering the Pole of Cold, because there were only a few! Do you want to be among them — pioneers?

The Pole of Cold

We will visit the place where the lowest temperature in the Northern hemisphere of the Earth was recorded (-71.2 °C)

Meeting with the Yakut horse

We will see horses that are outdoors for the whole winter and forage for themselves under the snow

We will get the skills of ice fishing and cutting fish, taste the "stroganina"

Itinerary

Day 1 - Yakutsk
Arrival at the airport early in the morningYakutsk and transfer to the hotel, accommodation in double rooms.
The program in Yakutsk: sightseeing tour with a visit to museums.
The Mammoth Museum is the only specialized museum of unique paleontological finds in the world.
The Museum of Local Lore named after Yaroslavl, where you can get acquainted with the culture of the peoples of Yakutia and see the diversity of its natural world.
Visit to the exhibition "Treasury of Yakutia".
Lunch at the restaurant (for an additional fee).
After lunch, a visit to the ethnographic complex "Ytyk Khaya".
Participation in the national rite of blessing of Algys.
Transfer to another ethnographic complex "Chochur-Muran":
acquaintance with the Yakut husky, dog sledding on Lake Ytyk-Kyuel;
hiking to Chochur-Muran Mountain;
visit to the "Kingdom of Permafrost" complex;
welcome to Chishaan, a treat in the ice bar (possible only for a group of 6 people or more).
Dinner at the Chochur-Muran restaurant (for an additional fee).
Return to the city.
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 - Transfer to Oymyakon, Khandyga
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer by 4WD minibus to Oymyakon with overnight stay in Khandyga, hot lunch and dinner in the field (in the car), accommodation in a hotel in Khandyga (double room only).
The road crossing lies in the Central part of Yakutia, further north with the intersection of the frozen Lena River and its right tributary Aldan.
The distance from Yakutsk to Khandyga is 420 km.
The driving time is approximately 8-10 hours.
Day 3 - Oymyakon
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer from Khandyga to Oymyakon (about 600 km) — 12-14 hours.
The route lies through the Verkhoyansk mountain ranges, the Kolyma Tract — the "Road on Bones", a unique road built by GULAG prisoners during the Stalin era.
This is a road with a rich history of the tragic fates of many people.
Bridges, crossings, barracks, and other remains of concentration camp structures carved out of the mountain.
Magnificent landscapes, large snow-capped mountains, frozen rivers, vast pastures for reindeer.
There is a lunch stop in the area of the weather station East.
Arrival in Oymyakon late in the evening, accommodation and dinner in a family hotel for 2-3 people.
Day 4 - Oymyakon. Excursions and ice fishing
After breakfast, a tour of the place where the lowest temperature was recorded (-71.2 °C) in the Northern hemisphere of the Earth.
A trip to a horse farm where you will see a uniqueA Yakut horse that stays outdoors in a pasture for the whole winter and forages for itself under the snow.
Acquaintance with their habitat, the life of horse breeders, horseback riding is possible for those who wish.
Lunch.
Ice fishing in the Indigirka river.
The possibility of personal participation and obtaining skills in ice fishing, cutting fish.
Tasting of "stroganina".
The variety of fish caught depends on the month.
Swimming in Indigirka (for those who wish).
Sauna at the meteorologist's (on request, for an additional fee). Supper. Rest.

Day 5 - Oymyakon — Tomtor
Breakfast.
Cold Chips program (unusual properties of objects as a result of extremely low temperatures).
This can only be seen at the Cold Pole.
Visit the Mayor of Oymyakon to get certificates of visiting the Cold Pole.
After lunch, departure to Tomsk, accommodation in a family hotel.
Tour of Tomtor.
Visit to the museum of ice sculptures, the winter residence of Chyskhan (the symbol and lord of the Cold).
In the evening there is a cultural program performed by the school ethnographic dance ensemble "Aim".
Supper. Rest.
Day 6 - Tomtor — Yuchiugei
Breakfast.
Early departure, at about 07:00 am on the Tomtor — Yuchiugei route.
Acquaintance with the life and everyday life of Even reindeer herders, reindeer riding, lunch with reindeer herders.
Transfer to Khandyga.
Arrival in the village. Handyga is about 21:00–22:00.
Supper. Rest at the hotel.
Day 7 - Transfer to Yakutsk. Farewell dinner
After breakfast, transfer to Yakutsk.
Hot lunch in the field (in the car).
Arrival in Yakutsk in the afternoon, approximately at 16:00.
Buying souvenirs.
A farewell dinner.
Rest at the hotel.
Day 8 - Yakutsk. Departure
Early morning transfer to the airport.
