  • Day 1 - Salekhard

    08:00 Arrival in Salekhard (flight YC32). 

    Meeting at Salekhard airport. 

    08:30 Transfer to the Arctic 3* hotel. 

    Accommodation by rooms (double rooms). 

    Free time.

    13:00 Lunch at a cafe/restaurant in the city (not included in the price).

    14:30 Sightseeing tour of Salekhard (by minibus):

    The sculptural composition "Mammoth" is dedicated to the ancient inhabitants of the North – mammoths;

    Victory Park is a cultural and historical complex that has no analogues in Russia. 

    Military equipment from different eras is presented here.

    Obdorsky prison. 

    Obdorsk (the former name of the city) is one of the oldest cities in Siberia. 

    The open-air architectural complex is made in compliance with all the rules of architecture in the Russian Empire of the 16th century and without a single nail. 

    The wooden fortress built on the river bank tells the story of the development of the Ob north and the development of the city;

    The church in the name of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul was built according to the project of the German architect Gottlieb Zinke.

    This is the only preserved religious building of the XIX century in the city and the district, reflecting the history of the spread of Christianity in Siberia. 

    Solemn crossing of the Arctic Circle and presentation of certificates. 

    16:30 Visit to the I.S. Shemanovsky Museum and Exhibition Complex.

    The most important museum of Yamal keeps in its collections more than 60 thousand historical and ethnographic exhibits, works of art, collections of minerals and fauna of the north of Western Siberia. 

    The unique exhibits of the museum are the archaeological collection and the remains of the mammoth Lyuba.

    17:30 Transfer to the hotel.

Arktika Hotel is located in Salekhard, 1.7 km from Salekhard and 3.3 km from Monashkin Island. It offers a 24—hour front desk, a restaurant and free Wi-Fi throughout. Room service is available. Other facilities offered at the property include an ATM and luggage storage. Each room at the hotel has a desk, a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. Towels and bed linen are provided. A safety deposit box is provided in the rooms. Some rooms have a view of the river. There is also a wardrobe and a kettle.

It's important to know

Personal equipment you need for the tour

As a rule, it does not differ in any way from the urban style in other regions of the country: jeans, shorts, T-shirts, hoodies, socks, sneakers / boots, sandals, etc. I.e. here you can take with you what you feel comfortable walking in. 

You also need to take home clothes, underwear, slippers, flip-flops, a swimsuit / swimming trunks (if you want to swim in mountain lakes), a personal first aid kit, hygiene products, sunscreen (required!), mosquito repellents.

For active days, you will need trekking clothes and shoes, sneakers with hard soles, protection from mosquitoes, rain, sun and wind.
