Safari in Yamal. Winter Tour

07:00 We have breakfast at the hotel.

07:30 We meet with the group in the lobby of the hotel and get acquainted with our guide.

Then we leave for the ferry crossing (minibus, vehicle).

08:00 We board the snowmobiles and take the ferry to Labytnangi.

There are no familiar bridges here.

The Salekhard-Labytnangi ferry has been operating since time immemorial: the two opposite shores are connected by ferries in summer and by road, which is laid on ice in winter.

During the off-season, passengers are transported by small hovercraft.

The journey time to Inghilor is approximately 4-4.5 hours. We recommend that you bring something with you for a snack.

13:00 We arrive at the Morozov cordon and register.

13:30 Lunch (field kitchen).

At 14:00 We undergo a mandatory safety briefing when moving through the territory of the nature park.

Musk oxen weigh over 300 kg and can reach speeds of up to 60 km/ h, although they look very calm and unhurried.

These are wild animals, so you can't scratch them behind the ear. All instructions must be strictly followed.

14:00-18:30 We drive through the corral to the observation deck.

We walk up to the observation deck, admire the views, watch the musk oxen through binoculars and take pictures.

After the observation deck, we move through the corral to Lake Yadkhito and observe the life of the inhabitants of the natural park.

We have dinner, share our impressions and stay in the cabins for the night.

08:00 We wake up and have breakfast.

09:00-13:00 We study the life of the inhabitants of Inghilor.

We are undergoing a safety briefing.

We leave for the Nyaravoy cordon.

We move around the corral and observe the musk oxen, bison, yaks and horses. We take pictures and make videos.

We return to the camp and have lunch (field kitchen).

14:00 We say goodbye to Inghilor and its residents, get into the transport and move towards Salekhard.

18:30 is the approximate time of return to the hotel in Salekhard.

You can relax, take a walk and have dinner at one of the restaurants in the city.

We will definitely tell you where to find the most interesting places.

It is impossible to imagine a trip to Yamal without exploring the sights of Salekhard.

14:15-15:45 We are going on a sightseeing tour of Salekhard.

Let's see what:

• "The Mammoth." Let's take a picture next to the charming symbol of Salekhard– Mitya the mammoth. This is a sculpture that the townspeople love very much and sometimes dress up in different costumes.;
• Obdorsky prison. We will take a walk through the architectural complex under the open sky, repeating the appearance of the ancient fortress. The complex is new, but built using traditional technology without a single nail. Obdorsky prison marked the beginning of modern Salekhard and at the time of its foundation in 1593 was the northernmost in Siberia. Let's look at the harsh life of the 16th century, climb to the observation deck, look at the watchtowers and look into the forge.;
• the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul. We will visit the only functioning 19th century temple in the city and the district. This is the world's first stone Orthodox church, built on permafrost in 1894. It had a difficult fate, it was partially destroyed, but restored to its former glory in 1998.;
• The 66th Parallel stele, where we will hold a solemn ceremony of crossing the Arctic Circle with the presentation of personalized certificates and take unique photos.
  The 66th Parallel stele is a geographical feature of the city, it is located just where the Arctic Circle passes. It was first installed in 1980 in a completely different part of the city, but in 2003 the error was sorted out. Employees of the geological and geodetic supervision of Salekhard were invited to determine the correct line of the Arctic circle. The monument was dismantled and installed near the Airport-Salekhard highway. Now everything is accurate!

16:00-17:00 We go to the I. S. Shemanovsky Museum and Exhibition Complex.

The first and largest museum in Yamal holds a unique exhibit — the remains of a baby mammoth Lyuba, found in 2007.

The permafrost has completely preserved the skin, trunk, all other parts of the body, and even the contents of the mammalian stomach. The discovery became a sensation for the entire scientific world!

In addition, in the museum we will look at unique products made of clay, bone, metal, stone, organic materials (wood, birch bark, leather, etc.), illustrating the daily life of people in the North from the Mesolithic era (6th millennium BC) to Modern times (XVI–XIX centuries) and a large ethnographic collection..

And where else can you see an almost complete skeleton of a mammoth and a woolly rhinoceros? All the guests of Yamal are happy to visit this museum, because it is completely different from the usual city museums. That is why we definitely include his visit in our

17:20-18:40 We study the expositions of the museum of the modern history of Yamal.

Yes, we are inviting you to visit the museum for the second time in a row. But believe me, you won't regret it. Unusual, multimedia and interactive.

We will listen, look, touch and be surprised. In one of the halls there is a cinema with a large-scale installation of the Yamal territory on the floor.

In another, the ancient appearance of Salekhard is recreated with all the attributes and photographs. There are no people who are indifferent and even more dissatisfied with this museum, it has been checked!

We finish the educational program and, tired but satisfied, return to the hotel.

19:00 Free time to stroll through the center of Salekhard, discuss everything we've seen these days, and have dinner at one of the city's restaurants.
